The Coronavirus, not the beer

Hahahaha....so obvious.

Cause a lockdown to restrict healthcare and then claim all those deaths have something to do with the virus.

You guys get more and more pathetic.

Leftistism is a disease.

So, what happens when we do reopen? You know our ability to test on the kind of scale that we should be able to test isn't even remotely ready for that, right? I spoke with a nurse practicioner this morning because I've been feeling worse and worse day by day for the past 10 days or so. I have a couple of the symptoms of COVID but definitely not all of them. I don't know what's wrong but I do know whatever is wrong is getting worse, not better. I feel like I have fever but it's very low grade and isn't showing up on my thermometer. What does she ask first? Have you been in contact with anyone who's tested positive for COVID? How the **** should I know since they won't test anyone unless they know they've been exposed to someone who has it and the dumbass chain just keeps going around and around. How can we possibly know what we have when you almost have to die from it to be tested for it? It's almost like they don't want to know how many people really have it. Add to that the fact that states can't seem to get all the supplies they need to take care of this mess for fear of "raiding Jared's private stash".

So, what's gonna happen when we do reopen everything and this 2nd wave hits us like a ****ing tsunami ? I guess that'll be the Dems fault too, huh?

First, I hope you feel better soon.

Second, you are right at so many levels. Testing will make us all feel a lot better as we try to return to normal life. As people return to work, they need to feel a degree of comfort that the people they are working with aren't going to make them sick. Testing on a massive scale will make that happen. Same with going to a barber or a baseball game or anything that requires sitting close to someone else for an extended period. We need to be testing anyone who might be spreading the disease. Not just those who meet some sort of narrow criteria.

Thanks man. I've had whatever it is that I have for about 10 days now. I feel too crappy to get very much done but I don't feel bad enough to have COVID or anything that bad, although I don't know exactly what that would feel like. I'm hoping to get in to see someone tomorrow afternoon. Good luck to all and stay safe, if that's even possible anymore.

A second wave will not hit that is harder than the first. We already know at least over 30% have gotten it in NYC. And that crushed the hospitals. Other places were barely touched because the virus DOESNT SPREAD OUTDOORS AS EASILY AS IT DOES INDOORS.

Hang in there. I have a friend who got quite sick. He is 39. He bottomed out around day 12. He tells me day 11 and 12 he was short of breath, especially at night when he was trying to sleep. After the second sleepless night, he went to the hospital. They took an X ray of his lungs and told him to go home. I guess they were right because he started getting better after that.

Looks like Georgia and Florida are in an epic struggle to see which one can get further out there.

Thethe’s Covid strategy is the same as replacing ACA

Get rid of/stop doing this and replace with nothing at all.

Ah, brilliance

I should have seen that coming since you and your kind try to compare driving and obesity deaths to this lol

And what happens when you stop being stuck indoors with family members, most of whom don't have the disease and the government stops this Orwellian infringement on our liberties (sorry I couldn't resist) and we start walking and driving outdoors until we get back to our jobs, most of which are indoors with people with whom may or may not be a carrier?

Thanks man, still hoping for the best. Of course it's been a while since I was 39.

"The poor peasants really seemed to do well on famotidine," Tracey said. "There are a lot of anecdotes passing around that give us some hope."

Tracey said in addition to the observation in Chinese patients, Florida-based Alchem Laboratories used a computer model to make a list of existing drugs that might fight coronavirus, and famotidine showed up near the top of the list.

He said that's because, theoretically, the structure of famotidine is such that it could stop the virus from replicating, in the same way that protease inhibitors, which are used to treat HIV, stop that virus.

Oklahomahawk, I'm not calling you a peasant. But this one might work for you, and it's safer than bleach.

Personally, I've been medicating with gin and tonic.

Sweden with a significant drop deaths from the same point a week ago. New cases are still pretty high. Hopefully the less deaths trend continues into Wednesday.

The spread of coronavirus infections has slowed sharply in Finland, to rates well below those seen in neighboring countries, allowing the government to consider gradually easing restrictions, health officials said in a report Monday.

Finland has fewer than 5,000 confirmed cases of Covid-19 and less than 200 related deaths, according to the latest figures. The peak of new infections (208) was registered on April 7.

Health officials warned that the government should be ready to quickly reinstate containment measures, should the epidemic pick up speed again.

Countries like FINLAND, New Zealand, Australia and Taiwan have shown it is possible to bring the number of cases down to very low levels. They've made the investment in testing and tracing to ensure that future flareups are contained. They are well-positioned to reopen schools and businesses safely. The problem for them going forward will be dealing with travellers from places with a higher infection rate.

Interesting thread here. I'll be curious what the ramifications are of people moving out of the more draconian states.
