I mean many health experts were calling for Trump to cancel these rallies in early March and Trump refused. But that's irrelevant to this argument. Because after the fact, you still defended Trump holding these rallies.

No, I've clearly said based on information at the time nobody thought it was a big deal considering yiu had nyc health leaders saying everyone should still hang out in Chinatown.
 
Ok, resume rallies with a lot of enthusiastic old people jammed together. Hope it works out for you. Just dont whine about the results of that.

Whats an appropriate amount of time frame to evaluate excess deaths? Are people dying 2 years earlier than they would? 6 months?

I've asked you before what you thought an appropriate discount factor might be on the value of older lives. Still waiting for an answer.

Depends on the expected time of each of those till they would have naturally left us. But each person's life is valued differently based on how many love them and what they've contributed.

I would prefer not to put monetary values on anyone's lives.

It is something none of us wants to do.

If you look at the allocation of ICU beds, that has been happening in lots of places.
 
Even if the doomsayers are right, it is over as soon as they said protesters were acceptable. The health experts have lost their moral authority forever. Governors who arrested people for going to a park but protested with 10000 people have lost their moral authority.

This is undoubtedly how the majority of people feel.

The only reason to participate in social distancing is to protect yourself.
 
So you wanted to give cops free reign to beat protesters into quarantine when they are protesting police brutality? Because thats really the alternative to just letting them protest.
