They arent representative of the scientific community?

That letter said "experts" not scientists, did it not? And if people are making an erroneous assumption based on that letter, that's on them.

The bought and paid for **** is just more political bull****, and plenty of people and organizations made mistakes in regards to this virus. Scientists aren't perfect, and science itself is constantly evolving and taking steps closer to the truth of a matter and never stops, regardless of how much we think we might know (take gravity for example and the study that is still involved there). It is complete crap to take this situation that has been manipulated and twisted by people in power and try to lay the blame at the feet of the scientists simply trying to do their job. It doesn't surprise me that it is happening, however, since science has always been the favorite target of a certain type of people.

I'm defending the scientists who are being scapegoated with this kind of ****, and the science behind them that is being smeared because it doesn't fit a certain agenda.

The WHO is a reflection of the scientific community. Just like the letter of experts does that.

Science (your original statement) and your perspective of the scientific "community" are two completely different things. The actual science being done by the actual scientists doing it hasn't changed or been corrupted by politics. How it is being twisted by governments is a completely different story.

That letter, by the way, said health professionals, not scientists. I dated a health professional for 12 years...trust me when I say that they aren't scientists. lol

Right, a health professional could be a nurse. Which not to say nurses are dumb, but I know some dumb nurses.

An LPN is technically a health professional. I know some LPNs that I wouldn't trust to accurately check my temperature, let alone have a relevant scientific opinion on anything.
