The Coronavirus, not the beer

Talked to two separate hospital systems on the rerouting of info from the CDC. It was a no brainer. Both said it should have been done a long time ago and the third party contractor was a much more accurate and timely.

This is the crux of it.

Leftists want to control and make decisions for me. This has become a battle of liberty vs control, with the virus as the excuse to do it.

Sadly so many people eagerly submitted to their overlords and shockingly, the overlords want more power.

I suspect though, that things will magically get better November 4th

And the central planners ended up causing far more devastation. Lovkllckdowns will go down as one of the worst decisions in the past 100 years.

Of course it makes sense. Data analysis and management is a highly specialized field and anyone else performing this roll is a terrible decision.

Makes perfect sense.

Bad economy hurts trump.

Depression and anger hurts Trump.

Anxiety hurts Trump.

Devastated economy helps big government get more power.

"Failure of capitalism" justifies new social programs so this doesnt happen again.

It's not complicated

Exactly, anyone pretending all of these decisions aren't to hurt trump are fooling themselves. Even the bursing home deaths. IT WAS A SIGNED ORDER!

History tells us that the marxists are fine killing millions of their own people to get total control.

The alternative is no football, remote schooling, business shutdowns, economy tanking. Kudos to Abbott for laying the reality out to Texans.

CVS and Target will require customers to wear masks in their stores across the US as the retail industry moves to enforce mask mandates to slow the spread of the coronavirus

Not been keeping up with this thread in awhile. What's the general opinion on the vaccine progress? Politically motivated or do you think it's a legit encouraging?

On the one hand, making a vaccine is very hard and there is a high failure rate.

On the other hand, there are two strong candidates that are about to enter Phase III of clinical development/testing.

Different experts have chosen to emphasize one or the other of these facts. But I think it is at least mildly encouraging that both the Moderna and the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccines are in Phase III.

Literally everything “freedom” boy cries about only happened cause trump didn’t take this serious and implemented no national plan

don't think I agree with Justin there

with a highly contagious virus, what happens in one county spreads to the next quite easily

ditto for states

this is the kind of situation that calls for statewide or federal policies (which should themselves be crafted to take into account local conditions)

note, however, that Justin is not saying no to mandating masks...he seems to recognize that the folk libertarian push against mandates is a sort of immature folly in the face of a highly contagious disease
