We aren't doing well, but it's probably fair to compare deaths per million for the countries mentioned...

US: 480
Spain: 609
Germany: 110
France: 464
Australia: 9
Japan: 8

Germany is doing much better than us and their European counterparts. I think you could say us, Spain, and France are sorta all right there together. Australia and Japan appear to just be getting hit with the virus. If they keep their number below 100 in a few months, outstanding.

Overall, we're definitely doing better than we were in April. Luckily, we learned a lot about how to treat the virus. But we're still lagging behind other countries that are currently seeing a spike.

The data is so hard to unpack right now. Raw numbers don't tell a fraction of the story of how the outbreak is being handled. What are the ages of the population? How much spread has been experienced in the oldest demographics? What is the prevalence of underlying health conditions in the population? Are certain ethnicities more at risk? What's the prevalence in a population of a prior exposure to a similar virus allowing for a better immune response? What's the population density and public transit use?

I could go on at length. While I certainly don't think our Covid response has been model, as you note, raw numbers don't tell us much.

HUGE: Trump donated 2 million doses of hydroxychloroquine to Brazil. Since the pills arrived in May, they have gone mostly untouched. Vast quantities are still sitting in storage. One former health minister says they may eventually have to be destroyed.

so was it grifting, incompetence, or both?
both would be at the most astounding levels, of course.

Why are mask compliant areas seeing large spikes?

define "mask complying."
new jersey mandates everyone wears a mask in public...but many people still don't, and certain people/businesses are eager to buck it to stop "tYrAnNy"!!!!
obtuse is legitimately your natural state.

How about Japan?

Also... you happy about NJ arresting business owners for opening up?

Texas and Arizona have seen notable improvement in hospitalizations a few weeks after their governors changed course on masks. It is beyond chuckleheaded to be pushing an anti mask agenda at this point. But we do have some posters in that category. God bless them.

Are you ever gonna talk about Japan or Hawaii or exponential growth?

Weird you seem to be avoiding those topics

Dude. All I gotta say at this point is God bless your heart. If you think Hawaii and Japan show masks dont work I have no answer.
