The Coronavirus, not the beer

Who wants lockdowns? No one does. They are extremely costly. We should be looking for policies that allow us to avoid having to choose between saving lives and destroying the economy. I've been saying that since April.

If you are faced with a potential situation where you have to shoot your dog or shoot your cat, you should be strenuously looking for a way out of that situation. Like a robust program of testing and tracing. Like wearing a mask. Seems like common sense to me.

Cuomo is exempting celebs from his absurd 14 day quarantine rule for the VMAs.

Glad that celebs are immune to spreading the super scary virus

I mean does this surprise you when you have the CDC effecrively saying that masks are useless? None of this is based on science.

But the sheep nod.

Strange that any place that didn't lockdown or use masks didn't have hundreds of thousands of deaths.

Makes you wonder what the hell the projections were based on and if anyone did any due diligence to vet them.

Eventually we will all learn.

Trump did a terrible job in not just leveling with the American public. You can't control mother nature. Just mitigate the best you can.

There is one goal and everyone understands what it is.

Hahn and other Trump administration officials presented the difference as an absolute survival benefit, rather than a relative difference between two treatment groups. Former FDA officials said the misstatement was inexcusable, particularly for a cancer specialist like Hahn.

"It's extraordinary to me that a person involved in clinical trials could make that mistake," said Dr. Peter Lurie, a former FDA official in the Obama administration who now leads the nonprofit Center for Science in the Public Interest. "It's mind-boggling."
