Let's just say this study was true. This would be some of the biggest medical news of the century. If the science was legit, real peer reviewed journals would be climbing over themselves to be the one to publish it. Yet, the only one who would publish it is a preprint website that is not peer reviewed and has never published a medical study before and is controlled by right wing radicals who have been arrested for fraud. I didn't think you could be dumber but congrats, you've arrived!

I presented her qualifications as a legitimate scientist with vast amount of experience with coronavirs specifically. But im sure the leftist media beholden to the CCP is much more credible.

The nice thing about our world is that there are many platforms even for crackpots.
But a company like Twitter has a responsibility to its shareholders. It's biggest asset is its brand. Personally, I think it is a hopeless task for it to be trying to weed out disinformation. I can understand why it is trying to do so. Protecting the brand. Probably a genuine concern that in a public health emergency bad information will lead to people dying. So I wouldn't criticize them when they take down accounts that promote bad science or hoaxes. Or if they warn against attempts to undermine confidence in the elections. Those are worthy goals. They are also a can of worms.
I wouldn't criticize them, however. They are a business. Their main allegiance is to their shareholders. And to the extent there is a secondary goal of being a good corporate citizen, it seems to me that their attempts to close down certain accounts or label certain tweets are well-intentioned, but unlikely to be successful.
There are always alt outlets like Gab and Fox that will provide a platform for people twitter is "marginalizing."

I'm fine with them leaving it as long as they don't do things like put warnings on trumps tweets.

But I think even Michael Jordan might speak out if particularly repugnant groups starting marching around with his sneakers as part of THEIR branding. He might say something about that. Because maybe the rest of us stop buying his sneakers if they become associated with say the KKK.
So I leave these decisions to the management in charge of those brands.

And I don't agree with censorship... arguing it should be censored was never my stance. I was just pointing out that its a garbage study that has zero value or believability. As nsacpi noted, when you start censoring one thing it can become a can or worms real quick.

Twitter I believe has decided that in a public health emergency it will censor tweets that contain disinformation that could cost lives. That's their rationale as far I know. It is commendable concern.
I'm actually a little curious about what their historic stance has been on "bad" or exploitative claims about the health benefits of various products. Do they allow people to advertise zinc as a cure for the clap. That kind of stuff. I don't know.
