Officials worry about hospital capacity as US hits record number of Covid-19 patients hospitalized
I wonder what could be done to slow down the spread???
As the crush of incoming Covid-19 patients continues to strain hospitals across the US, officials across several states are worried their hospitals will be overwhelmed as the holiday season approaches.
A record-high 96,039 Covid-19 patients were hospitalized in the US as of Monday evening, according to the Covid Tracking Project.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Monday told reporters that the intensive care unit bed capacity in the state might reach 112% by Christmas Eve, if the trend of surging coronavirus cases continues.
In Rhode Island, officials prepared to use field hospitals after telling residents their systems were already at capacity.
In New York, where some hospitals saw room capacity taxed in March, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said this time medical systems need to take steps to move patients to the other facilities that have space.
"No patient wants to be in an overwhelmed hospital, because you're getting less care, the staff is stretched thin, it's in the patient's best interest, distribute the patient load over the system," Cuomo said Monday. "We're not going to live through the nightmare of overwhelmed hospitals again."

For anyone who hasn't picked up on how this works, the media's slow and steady redemption of President Trump has begun. It will continue for at least the next 4 years.
This allows them to have cast him as the worst evaaaar for the past few years while also casting the next Republican nominee as the worst evaaaar for the 2024 election.
For examples, see the friendly pictures of former Nazi GWB leaning on Michelle, or the recent praise for formerly rich, out of touch, religious extremist Mitt Romney, or the reverence shown for former racist John Mccain at his death.
The accurate and realistic view of COVID as deliberately caused by Chinese has already started to come out. The articles stating that despite Trump, Biden should probably carry on Trump's stance on China are already coming out. The realistic view that our economy was at it's best in several decades prior to COVID will be reported. Soon we'll see articles truthfully pointing out the lack of difference between countries that locked down completely and the US, that way Biden can stop destroying the economy without being the heartless demon that Trump would have been for the same actions.
I'm sure no one here is gullible enough to fall for such transparent dishonesty.

What have we witnessed the past four years. In their hysteria about all things trump the left went so extreme on every issue that eventually they are forced to contradict prior positions.
Probably still COVID?
