The Coronavirus, not the beer

As a moderate conservative with libertarian leanings, I'm happy with the selection of Kavanaugh. I think he'll be a bit more conservative than Roberts but not as conservative as Thomas, Alito, and Gorsuch. Not that conventional liberal-conservative categories are always a useful way of looking at the issues that come before the court. Certainly, in terms of credentials, intellect and temperament, Kavanaugh seems to be well qualified. I would say the same of candidates that were not located at the same point in the political spectrum if they met the requirements. Garland was well qualified. Gorsuch too.

will also add i was fine with Coney Barrett as well

the ABA, Dershowitz, and a Jesuit organization that endorsed Kavanaugh have all called for a delay and investigation...I dont think they are motivated by partisan considerations...it is the sensible thing to do

i'm a little embarrassed to have cited Dersh to support my position, but this pretty much summed it up at the time

You can read your posts in the 30's pages. You gave credence to the Swetnik/Avenetti nonsense by saying the 3rd woman is more proof that there are issues. You called for kids from a prep school to go on record to address her allegations specifically. YOu said the matter should be investigated

You believe Michael Avennetti's claim that Kavanaugh was part of a gang rape ring. You wanted to waste time and spend federal resources investigating the gang rape circle.

Of course, anyone without TDS knew the lady was insane and should be dismissed entirely. cheff telling me i should die because I didn't believe the gang raping

By the way - the biggest embarassment on that thread was Super who ran wildly with that story. And of course, ens

But I'm struck by your different reactions today. When Joe got his accusation - you didn't call for an investigation. When Cuomo got his - you haven't even been willing to address it.

I know you're a partisan hack and am happy to call it out at every term

Agenda >>>

which post

i just reviewed it and discussed the fact that the Ford and Ramirez charges had a certain amount of corroboration and would likely be problematic for him if further investigated.

post 1046

The White House didn't want the FBI to interview Ford because that would have required an interview of Kavanaugh. I think that's what they really wanted to avoid. A professional interrogation of Kavanaugh over the Ford and Rivera (sic) allegations.

You have several posts reacting to new info. Not just one... its in the pages from the 30's. Im not gonna go through it again i have to actually get some work done

anyhow, i don't view myself as part of Cuomo's rapid response team

i'm happy to sit with my popcorn and just watch that unfold

i guess that means i have some sort of hidden agenda

i don't...my agenda here is pretty simple and open...i am anti-very poorly chosen one...and that has had the incidental effect of me shoveling through a fair amount of crap aka deza put out by his rapid response team

I praised Kavanaugh's appointment at the outset...but it's a lifetime appointment and he will never face the voters...that's a not irrelevant distinction between his situation and these accusations against Cuomo and Biden...i don't have an opinion one way or another about the stuff about Cuomo...i do have an opinion about whether you are a good faith poster...so on the Cuomo stuff i discount (at nearly 100%) whatever you post...but i am simply not interested enough to inform myself about the matter

Well I'm referring to what he is alleging you inferred... I still think there's some typical sturg exaggeration and misdirection there from what I've seen.

i'm just kidding

we all have our opinions and agendas

and i enjoy bantering with the overwhelming majority of posters here

Nothing will play out with Cuomo bc the press is his legal defense team.

This doesn't bother you but I think it should

there is OAN, RT, FOX, techno fog, Daily Caller, the Texan, Maria Baritiromo, John Solomon, Tucker, and a bunch of other great journalists who i'm sure will ferret the truth out

and let's not forget the NY Post!!

I understand you feel this way but I'd prefer you save your concern over sexual assault victims in the future if they fit your agenda.

Cuomo gets by bc he's a liberal. Majrotiy of the press won't touch it and thus a majority of your voters are ignorant. They care about power more than women quite clearly

NY Times I wouldn't expect much from. It hasn't touched the Crenshaw story.

And crickets so far from the WaPo about Nikki Haley's affairs.

For those wondering if Klasfeld or the NY press goes easy on Cuomo or the Dems, I suggest you google Joseph Percoco or Sheldon Silver or Cuomo's disbanding of his ethics commission (also known as the Moreland Commission).
