Just as they are lower in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts than in the United States as a whole.

And let’s think harder about those northeast states. Were there any unique actions that caused a divergence with obesity to mortality rates?

What’s amusing about this is I know you know the answer. I’m an auditor at heart man. I did this for a living so I know when to spot someone attempting to deceive.

You can zero out all the deaths in NY city and still have a substantially worse outcome in the US than in Canada.

Obesity.

It’s clearly the answe despite how many pointless hoops you are jumping through.

But please continue to tell me how the obesity to mortality rate in the northeast tells us that obesity isn’t the biggest driver despite the obvious outlier disaster that was administered.

My point is zeroing out NY deaths and controlling for obesity differences makes only a fractional dent in the very large difference in covid death rates between the US and Canada. And then when you look at climate and density, those things work against Canada. So it is pretty clear to me that there is an inference to be made that our public health policy response as a country has been quite a bit inferior to Canada's. Obviously, those are my back of the envelope calculations. But when the differences are this large, more sophisticated analysis is unlikely to overturn back of the envelope analysis.

He aint pushing doctor stella as a voice to be listened to. "I was very impressed with her...I thought she made sense." It's basically a crude form of denialism. That was the message coming from the head of state. That's your boy in action. It is a shocking thing that somehow we got used to. Policy to a significant extent was influenced by denialism and magical thinking. Not much difference from Mbeki's denialism with respect to AIDS.

We have by far the highest obesity rate in the world for a developed nation.

We know the Comorbidities that ramp up the lethality with the virus are all found in obesity.

You actually need more than this??

What you just wrote is a big word salad that is effectively paralysis through over analysis. The answer is right in front of you and whenever your logical train of thought is shown to be folly you move to a completely new irrelevant one.

Reality is Biden is doing nothing different that matter... he takes it seriously! And yet, 70,000 people have died under his watch.

by far? we don't have an obesity rate twice as high as Canada's...it is fractionally higher...but we had a covid death rate almost 3 times as high...that would be an example of "by far"

AIDS didn't become an epidemic in South Africa due to Mbeki's denialism...but the denialism had terrible effects on the policy response...it undoubtedly made things worse in a variety of ways...it confused the public...it hindered public health policy...same thing with your boy

Canada obesity rate 22.7
Ontaria 22.7
Quebec 21.8
