The Coronavirus, not the beer

When the science shows you have a .01% (generous for many groups) chance of dying then that definitively is showing you don’t need a vaccine.

Much more risky activities that exist which are done on a daily basis.

You do not understand.

No my friend. You do not.

This is ridiculous. Your ignorance regarding this issue makes it impossible to have a productive conversation with you about it. Just keep on spreading your bull****, I guess. Hopefully enough people are educated to the point that they will get the necessary vaccine so we can all return to a normal life. Have a good one.

Yes. Because it’s the person who will have super low viral loads and a .0001% of dying that’s preventing us from returning to ‘normal’. You’ve completely succumbed to the propaganda. It’s disappointing.

The reality is, we are going to have to reach herd immunity for life to return to normal. I can accept that reality, regardless of whether I personally think it should be that way or not. If people listen to you and only the at-risk people got vaccines, we would not reach herd immunity any time soon. The science absolutely does not show that only at-risk people should take vaccines. That's not how vaccines work, that's not how herd immunity works, and that's not how science works. The propaganda from both sides has nothing whatsoever to do with that. You stating a complete falsehood like that is propaganda, and it is harmful to the goal we all have...getting back to normal. The vaccine is here. The science absolutely supports as many people as possible getting the vaccine. Why try to encourage people not to?

Why does it matter if the at risk are vaccinated and the little to no risk aren’t?

Okay. This is based in science. I don't care what the left or the right say. I just don't. So...

Why? Well, the short answer is that we need them to in order to achieve herd immunity in a timely fashion (or even at all, depending on what number we are talking about). Why does that matter? Because the more a virus spreads, the more it mutates. This is a fact. I do not care how that has been used or twisted by either side. Mutations happen. They happen more when more people are infected. If people have the vaccine, but not enough to stop the spread, it will continue to mutate. Those mutations might and most likely would end up turning it into something the vaccinated were no longer immune to, and it might be a mutation that is more deadly, or spreads faster, or a number of other things. You just don't know, but all those options are possible. This is a very real possibility if we don't get this taken care of soon. If people listen to people saying what you are saying, it will not be soon at all, let alone soon enough. This is not about extending the limitations to our daily life. Quite the opposite. If enough people get vaccinated quickly enough to achieve herd immunity in time, there will be no scientific reason to continue any of the limitations. That's what we all want, right? Why try to hinder that?

So we are to guilt a portion of the population on something that most likely never happens?

I’ll give you that the mutations is at least a reasonable concern but so far all the variants have not been able to bypass any of the vaccines from what I’ve read.

My guess, do not know, that any mutations could quickly be deconstructed and the vaccines altered.

Most likely never happens? That is not the case. It is in fact almost inevitable that if a virus is allowed to spread far and long enough it would eventually mutate into something that might as well be completely different. As for getting a quick vaccine for the mutations. That could be the case (equal chance it would not be the case), but you are still looking at 3-6 months. That would be my guess. Then everyone would have to be vaccinated again, which we see would be a couple months at the very least. Skipping the vaccine is pointless, unnecessary, harmful, and will only serve to extend all these ****ing limitations.

Even if the virus mutates, which again is not this assured disaster event as the variants have already shown, limitations are pointless because we aren’t actually focused on the at risk. So we are basically forcing vaccinations because of state imposed inefficient limitations. Quite the circle.

We are seeing early variants. They will always be the closest we get to the original. Limitations are not pointless. They are designed to give us more time to safely reach herd immunity, which is all that ultimately matters. They are not perfect. They could be better. They are still buying us a little time, which could very well make the difference when you are talking about a spread of this magnitude. Regardless of what you or I think about the limitations, they are here until we reach herd immunity. They were here under Trump. They are here under Biden. They would still be here under Trump if he had won. It is what it is. That's the reality. All that matters now is that the vaccine is here, and we should be encouraging people to get it so we can move past this ****.

You want to put the restrictions behind us but they are contrived by those who knowingly aren’t applying a risk based approach. For some reason you seem to think that saving every life possible from the virus has an end result of saving the most lives or causing the least amount of misery. You are in a real life Groundhog Day that has no end.

I still love the absolute insanity of “vaccine passports” lol

Y’all didn’t go to school and prove you were vaccinated, did ya? Lol

We managed to do that without a passport, didnt we?

Of course the commie is in favor of the modern day "show us your papers"

What a ****ing loser
