That's an interesting post. There has not been much mention of suicides lately. There was a time a while back when it was one of the horses you were riding pretty hard. At least you had the good sense to stop bringing it up. Not sure why you bring it up now, except as a form of "pre-emptive inoculation."

I am talking about excess mortality in Russia (and other countries). Happy to have a conversation about hospitalizations, but what's wrong with having one about why excess mortality has turned out to be so horrific in Russia compared to other countries. I guess it doesn't fit neatly with certain conceptions about obesity being the be all and end all of covid.

I'm sure at some level all those Russians dying had issues of lack of personal responsibility and bad habits. Non? Isn't that the paradigm to be defended at all costs?
