Everyone is constantly ignoring the host of factors at play that we have zero control over. Spiking numbers are often unavoidable when they spike and numbers falling are rarely the result of any action we've taken. We might have some impact on intensity, but we have very little control over waves, when they hit, and when they recede.

So taking credit for the numbers going down is as stupid as throwing blame when the numbers go up.

After Biden called them Neanderthals, Newsome called it reckless, Fauci called it an absolute mistake, I think they have every right to simply state the fact that their citizens aren't piling up on the street and maybe other states should stop destroying liberty in the name of these measures that have zero evidence of making an impact
 
I agree with that wholeheartedly. I don’t think we have much impact on how such an infectious disease spreads. Just have to take care of your own body and make the best decisions for you.

Additionally, the vaccine was very cleverly designed. It uses the mRNA for the spike protein. Basically, you get a shot of a ton of this mRNA that is essentially instructions for your cells. It tells the cells to start pumping out the spike protein but just the spike protein. As the mRNA is read, it's recycled so it's not sticking around in your body. Your immune system recognizes the spike protein as an intruder and learns how to attack it. Then when your immune system sees the Covid virus, it recognizes the spike protein and kills the virus.

There are a lot of ways Covid can mutate to get around natural immunity. To get around the immunity of the vaccine there has to be a mutation of the spike protein sufficient to make it unrecognizable. Most such mutations would make the virus far less contagious as the spike protein is vital to its ability to spread. This makes the vaccine much harder for Covid to adapt to.

So, we definitely don't need to let having Covid be a reason to not get vaccinated.

Every time someone mentions herd immunity, just a reminded it was estimated that abotu 76% of the population of Manaus had caught COVID19, but there was a massive resurgence and a new variant came from there.

I’m also pretty certain that reinfection of any strain has not been proven as anything more than an anomaly. Happy to say I’m wrong if zito wants to bring support to the argument as opposed to senseless fear so his loser ass can stay home and mooch off of his girlfriends family.
