The Coronavirus, not the beer

Yes I know you are in favor of bankrupting your grandkids to make you feel safer.

But it is still wild to me how supportive you are of the government banning restaurants from serving willing customers.

I thought we fought and won that battle back in the 60s... but as usual, progressives take us backwards

to put it bluntly i think those who choose not to vaccinate should pay a price...and while i have a view as to how best to incentivize vaccine taking i'm not gonna quibble about the details...different states and cities will adopt a variety of approaches.

Yes we know you are a wannabe tyrant... getting to impose your mandates "for our own good"

But the externalities of such a mandate probably hurt the small businesses more than the unclean people

i think it's actually unclear how the mandate affects restaurants...it is something to watch...but an argument could be made that more people will go to a restaurant knowing the great unwashed er unvaccinated will not be dining there

and now we have doctors refusing to treat the unclean people

it is quite obvious where this heading. remember you are one of the good guys!

The compliance alone is probably a cost most can't afford to bear... before discussing closing off 40% of the population to them

compliance cost...we just show them our papers

Setting aside the moral, legal, philosophical questions about a vaccine passport …it’s only effective if being vaccinated is a proxy for being not infected. My fully vaccinated cousin just tested positive. If you can still carry the virus and give it to others, the passport system is a nothing but theater. She was out at restaurants, malls, etc the past several days. Her showing the card did nothing to reduce the externalities to others. If anything, it increased her cost to society, as the vaccine card was a license to breathe shared air at indoor establishments.

Same thing I've said for a couple of weeks once the breakthrough cases were made public.

Plus there is no an additional risk where people are more at risk as the vaccine effectiveness wears. So there is a time period prior to your booster shot where you are reportedly more at-risk than you would be normally.

always had those extra spots... what are we gonna do for the 5th booster? time for the app I suppose

Hopefully, right? Because at least we know a government app will work beautifully and won’t come with security concerns. Like when the MIT Review tested the New York app and didn’t have any issues:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.technologyreview.com/2021/07/06/1027770/vaccine-passport-new-york-excelsior-pass/amp/

BTW, a paper vaccine card too big to fit in a wallet is the most government thing ever.

Get the shots, including boosters when the time comes.

Stay healthy.

Help reduce the spread of covid.

Be not afraid.

Bon appetit.

Isn't this against their oath? Couldn't they lose their license over this?

You had doctors from all over the world that have fell victim to politics.

The idea of not allowing treatment to be a decision between the doctor and patient goes against everything the profession stands for.

If I'm an ambulance chaser lawyer, I'm sending in several covid + people with no vaccine. Sue the crap out of their malpractice.
