The Coronavirus, not the beer

Remember that old conspiracy that the Dossier was the principle piece of 'evidence' to get FISA warrants?

Remember that old conspiracy that Flynn was talking to his Russian counterpart prior to Trump winning the election?

i mean...i feel relatively relaxed about the prospects that Australia, France, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, etc, will survive as healthy vibrant democracies

but you seem to think this is a dark spiral into tyranny (the paranoid mindset)

Japan will soon be holding free and fair elections (in which even low information voters will be encouraged to vote)

Macron will face the voters in seven months. I'm going to boldly predict this will be a free and fair election.

I will predict when Australia will continue to hold free and fair elections (even without body counts during the transition period between governments)

Yes you are willing to sacrifice an entire country's freedom in the name of. Your covid religion. They have literal internment camps today.

Your dismal of it all is pretty shocking. What's worse is you actually favor their actions.

The idea that a government will put their entire country on house arrest but then let them have a free and fair election is about the cutest and most naive thing I've ever read.

Adorable

I also predict when Australia will continue to hold free and fair elections (without body counts during the transition period between governments)

Asking citizens to behave in a responsible manner during a pandemic is entirely consistent with cherished liberties. We place all sorts of restrictions on things like driving (such as speed limits, not being inebriated). Responsible mature citizens don't equate acting in a socially responsible manner with tyranny.

considering your track record and judgement on... everything.

this is possible the worst piece of news for the prospects of these countries

I forgot Canada. They are in the midst of an election campaign, which seems shockingly free and fair. Strangely, the opposition party in Canada is not campaigning on a Larry Elder-style abolition of efforts to control covid. Elder by the way has been a godsend for Newsom. If he didn't exist, Newsom would have had to invent him.

But by all means continue to conjure up your paranoid fantasies. Dopamine is a powerful drug as thethe noted. There are various ways to trigger its release.

Just to get you on record.

Do you have zero issues with what Australia is currently doing?

(This is the part where a sparky sarcastic response is delivered)

Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole today pledged to increase Canada's vaccination rate beyond 90 per cent within two months as he unveiled the party's strategy to combat the fourth wave of COVID-19.

O'Toole's plan relies heavily on persuading more Canadians to get vaccinated through a public information campaign that will "appeal to Canadians' patriotism" and by providing incentives, such as paid time off work and free transportation to vaccine appointments.

It also promises a "booster shot strategy" to counter waning immunity, an expansion of rapid testing in workplaces and schools, and the accelerated authorization of vaccines for children under the age of 12, who currently aren't eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

what a strange country

endless booster shots for waning effectiveness is quite a society to build. the left sure knows how to make everything turn to ****

What is going on in Israel?

What is going on in Israel?

And of course if we treated this pandemic with exercise, vitamins and proven effective therapeutics more people would have natural immunity and therefore blunt the spread in perpetuity.

i mean the puppy killing is chilling and awful...i think it is instructive that you and others have brought this up as an argument against Australia's approach...it seems to me there are criticisms that serious people can make...but to cite some weird (and cruel) thing that some local council did to some dogs as an argument against it...well that is deeply unserious and in typical bad faith...and then to cite that as a sign of some sort of downward spiral in Australia, well that's of a piece with a paranoid tendency to see these downward spirals where none exist...we can always find some weird (and obviously wrong thing) some local government is doing in any country....it is a weak and pathetic form of argumentation to then take that as the basis for criticizing an approach to trying to control an epidemic just because you have a paranoid ideological opposition to that approach

anyhow, hope you have enjoyed the puppy pictures

If I could have bet my entire life savings that you would have posted an image of a puppy, I would have.

Most predictable lot in existence.

But equally unsurprising that you have no comments about the quarantine laws, the tracking apps, the internment camps, the not allowing people to enter or leave the country, and on and on

unserious indeed

oh and australia has a larger population than Florida and has been experiencing 2% of the covid deaths that Florida has been in recent weeks....frankly that strikes me as disappointing...i was thinking covid deaths there might be 0.2% (I try to be careful with my decimals and percentage signs) of Florida's

i don't know if you know this but many countries send people to internment camps or gulags (aka prisons) if they defy laws against drunk driving. In some states the first offense will get you six months. Tyranny I tell ya.

They have police out there with radar and breathalyzers and whatnot. It is positively dystopian.

See these are the times I am convinced you just want to troll.

Well done.
