There are lots of small lodges along the way I'd imagine.

On the way out of the Frank Church and Middle Fork, we came out and stopped in North Fork, then Salmon and down to Stanley. Stanley is a very cool small town. It is the foothills of the Sawtooth mountain ranges and the hike up to Sawtooth Lake and Alpine lake is considered the best hike in all of Idaho. That big old lake is something to see up there.

Nice

Will have to look into that. Sounds perfect

Is the thought here that everyone in Hawaii wore their masks as told, and then at the end of July everyone simultaneously ripped them off?

This is AFTER mass vaccination

Ideally you would have tested each person in each village for seroprevalence at the start of the study and at the end of the study. That would be ideal if impractical. But using reported cases gets you a baseline for the two groups of villages that should be pretty similar.

Anyhow it is not as if this is the only study providing evidence in favor of the efficacy of masks. By now there is a mountain of evidence. For any study it is possible to point out some detail they could have done differently. Collectively, the evidence is overwhelming.

Not even close because you can't assume linear spread of total infections across the population. The virus clusters and therefore this study could either show that masks are more useful than the underlying figure or less useful. That is how unreliable the two subsets are in this bogus study to help boost mask mandates.

I remember a certain someone expressing 'concern' for hospitalizations in Miss two weeks ago.

What happened to that concern?

they relocated to idaho

Ah - the new red scare!

Not sure how many times you need to see how this virus cycles to understand that intervention does nothing and that the peaks are never as bad as the simplistic analyses show.

Immunity walls - Learn about them and then when you're ready come back and tell me I was right from the beginning.

Wow - Just looked at the Idaho numbers.

7 day average of 60 hospital admissions a day across the whole state.

This has to look like the tenth circle of Dante's Hell.

Hospitalizations (per 100,000 population) for the five least vaccinated states:

Wyoming 36
Alabama 63
Mississippi 47
Idaho 31
West Virginia 42

Hospitalizations (per 100,000 population) in the 5 most vaccinated states

Vermont 6
Connecticut 12
Massachusetts 7
Maine 13
Rhode Island 14

Coming from an attorney who has had to deal with cases involving these before, those electric scooters are death traps.

sounds like a deadly plague we haven't seen before

hopefully some tyrant will step up to the plate and put in some rules for dealing with them
