The Coronavirus, not the beer

Going to be amazing to see the mental gymnastics when cheap alternatives like ivermectin and HCQ are widely accepted as effective against the ccp virus.

My buddy at BAH just got his notice that he will be fired on Nov 22 if he doesn't inject himself with a private company's private.

Nothing like coercion in the land of the free

In the past year, nurse Ashley Blevins says she has witnessed unparalleled violence at her hospital in Branson, Mo., where Cox Medical Center staff have been cursed at, spit on and even beaten by patients.

“In the emergency department … our patients are becoming increasingly violent lately,” Blevins told KYTV.

According to the hospital, violence against its staff increased dramatically from 2019 to 2020, “with the pandemic greatly compounding the issue.” The number of assaults increased from 40 to 123, while reported injuries jumped from 17 to 78, the hospital said.

In response to the violence, up to 400 staff members will soon have panic buttons attached to their badges, the hospital said. If a staff member is having trouble with a patient, they can press a button that immediately alerts security guards and activates a tracking system. If a staffer is being assaulted in a patient’s room, pushing the button will activate a “custom light” outside the room, the hospital explained.

“It’s nice we have the chance to press our button and security knows exactly where we are and if we end up having to chase a patient down they’ll know where our last location is,” Blevins told the station.

The uptick in violence is not limited to the Missouri medical center. By the fall of 2020, several months into the pandemic, hospital workers described a noticeable increase in workplace violence as they enforced masking requirements and strict visitor rules, WebMD reported. A November survey of 15,000 registered nurses by National Nurses United, a major nurses union, found that approximately 20 percent of respondents said they were experiencing increased violence on the job.

If only the companies were making their own decisions and not ones made as a result of an overreaching regime.

Correct... these aren't private company decisions. These are compliance from an overreaching federal government. We're not that far off from China

LOL

Remind me the point of the vax pass again?

[tw]1443362803243495426[/tw]

I ask again, what is the point of the tax pass?

100% of staff were vexed. 100% of audience was vexed.

They still cancelled.

Is this just the new reality for NYC? That any infection risks shutting things down?

For those of you looking for Halloween decoration ideas:

Do you really believe that all that don't get vaccinated die?

Many, Mathew Dowd, Bush 43 advisor, is running as (D) in Texas for Atty General.
I expect to see more and more of that and subsequently more and more Manchins / Sinemas

This Matthew Dowd? He doesn't exactly sound like a moderate to me. Kudos to Bush for having some diversity of thought among his advisors though.

Instead of waiting for the diverse population of America to keep pushing and prodding, I would humbly suggest that we as white male Christians take it upon ourselves to step back and give more people who don’t look like us access to the levers of power.

We don’t have to wait, and our country is in desperate need of more diverse leaders. It is that diverse leadership which will not only represent more of what America looks like today, but it will give us the opportunity to find solutions which homogenous models of leadership aren’t able to.

Yes, let me repeat, we as white male Christians should do what real leadership demands and practice a level of humility which demonstrates strength by stepping back from the center of the room and begin to give up our seats at the table.

We should make this move not because we feel threatened, but because we know it is morally right and it is what would help America in this troubling time. The best leaders and change makers make themselves dispensable. And that is what me and my fellow white male Christians must do more often.

We don’t need to be the CEO of nearly every major company in America. We don’t need to be the majority of the people who hold political power. We don’t need to be President. We don’t need to be a Supreme Court Justice. We don’t need to be the ones who dominate conversations and run the meetings.

Let us let others step in to fill that power vacuum.

There is no federal requirement that companies do this at the moment. Nor is it clear that one would pass legal muster. But by all means carry on.

Your friend is making a choice. I'm sure all the strong advocates for people taking responsibility for the consequences of their choices will want to wish him well in his job search.

did i say that?

i do believe that the vaccine improves our odds...all of us

the point of the picture i shared has more to do with doing "research," which increasingly seems to take the form of reading something that my bat**** crazy cousin shared on facebook

Apparently in Australia not doing the research led to 85% of the deaths yesterday.
