The Coronavirus, not the beer

Take the ongoing battles over management of the coronavirus: both sides insist they are defending some honorable principle but their ferocious disagreements reflect underlying hostilities and irrational instincts.

Anti-vaxxers march solemnly and self-righteously with placards proclaiming “My Body, My Choice” – expressing precisely the sort of logic they would forcefully reject regarding the abortion issue or recent proposals for sweeping legalization of recreational drugs.

On the other side, leftists who normally love the mantra that “Dissent is Patriotic” and view civil disobedience as transcendent virtue, will brook neither dissent nor disobedience when it comes to the public health strictures they support. What’s more, their talk of sweeping, national mandates could only be enforced by the police and military – two institutions whose expanding power they traditionally fear and decry.

It's not just that the thinking on these issues is utterly incoherent, it’s that there is no thinking at all

Come on over to (L), the water’s fine!

Love how the argument is framed as it’s only anti Vaxers who are against mandates.

The media just has absolutely no clue what’s going on in the world.

This type of approach would have been by far the most successful at limiting poor outcomes.

100% super strange.

Can’t believe that guy put that on his Twitter acct

Even weirder is the recommended age on the Fauci doll being 14+ lol …I know this country has stunted child development through its COVID policies, but has it really gotten that bad?
