It's true. The Pfizer trials collected data on outcomes, including symptomatic infection. They didnt collect data on transmission. The assumption has been you have to be symptomatic to transmit. I suppose it's possible asymptomatic people could transmit.

it's not hard at all...pre-omicron there was overwhelming evidence that the vaccines reduced symptomatic infections and transmission...post-omicron the evidence is not as overwhelming but generally is consistent with the vaccines continuing to reduce transmission
