Bill Cosby is a sexual predator. I can't believe I just wrote that. 15 and counting.

After all the crap he has given his people over the years and now we find out he's just another hypocrite. If this is really true I hope they find a way to charge him with something. I don't think he's immune to guilt like Jerry Sandusky seems to be. This is gotta be hitting him hard.

In a related story, Dan Jenkins, perhaps the funniest sports writer ever, did a ruthless, parody piece on Tiger Woods. Never one to miss a chance for a PR screw-up, Tiger complained and now everyone is reading the article which until now hadn't drawn any attention. Nice one. Tiger said it was "character assassination." That sounds about right.

This is really an unbelievable and horrid story that has so many ripple effects. First and foremost, my heart goes out to the victims. The pattern of Cosby's misbehavior is so insidious that it's just reprehensible. But the other part of the equation is that it simply makes a cynical world that much more cynical. If there's one thing the world needs now, it's a lowering of the cynicism meter.
 
I also hope that this marks the end of Don Lemon's atrociously embarrassing career as a news anchor.

Yeah, I can't imagine CNN keeping him on. Maybe he'll become a radical republican so Faux News will hire him. worked for Glenn Beck.

Don lemon actually gained a lot of respect when he went on his tirade against his fellow blacks a year ago.
 
It just reinforces how powerful and untouchable (pardon the pun) a predator can be and how powerless the victims actually are. 13 women claiming he raped or assaulted them and his reputation remained for the most part untarnished.

If I had to guess it trended on reddit, then twitter, then facebook, then hit the news cycle. Has about the right timing for that.

I think of Clinton too. It seems his reputation has only been enhanced - at least with some.

Has anyone ever accused Clinton of rape? It's a pretty significant jump, both legally and psychologically, from cad to rapist. But yeah, I know what you are saying. A lot of women seem to like the bad boy/womanizer type and if that person is also famous and/or powerful and/or rich....

But the sickness Cosby is accused of is on a different level. Secretly drugging women and having sex with them while they are passed out is way over the line of serious deviant.

Yes, both rape (Juanita Broaddrick) and sexual harassment (Paula Jones) and the Lewinsky affair was obvious abuse of authority (though consensual).

And I'm saying it's semantics. Rape is still a perversion, just an illegal one. It also means "kinky", which isn't so bad. I guess that is the current pop meaning of "perv". In my slightly older dude mind, perv is worse than kinky. I can't believe you're arguing over the distinction between regular ol' sexual perversion and sexual assault.
