Soroka is unquestionably our ace so they need to set him up to get the most out of our off days. If we move Sproka up to game 2 vs the Marlins and kept him on regular rest that would get 3 starts in the 11 game stretch starting on September 5th where we face the Nats for 4, Phillies for 4, and them the Nats again for 3. The 11 game stretch is bookended by off days so getting Soroka in that first game is key. This would also put Soroka starting the makeup game at Colorado in between series in New York and then Toronto.
