Simmons can’t hit…can glove it with the best of them but can’t hit. Him being gone is not a step back at his position.

We'll be fine. Minter will be up soon. As long as he isn't pitching in the 8-9th, he's fine. He'll be more of a 6th inning guy now that we have Rodriguez

Simmons defense is still much better than Dansby's.

Andrelton is not hitting that good this year, but Dansby has been below league average as a hitter in every full season he's played. The only times Dans has been around league average was last year in 60 game shortened season, and his first season of less than 40 games.

I loved Simmons. Trade seemed pretty good then. Newcomb’s peak was that 8 2/3 innings of no hit ball vs. the Dodgers.
