It's because of arbitrary endpoints. It happened to be the first 2 starts of the 2021 season in the majors. If it happened after two ****ty starts nobody would have really cared. But these people failed to see was the same guy in his brief AAA rehab. lol some people will never learn.

Simmons defense is still much better than Dansby's.

Andrelton is not hitting that good this year, but Dansby has been below league average as a hitter in every full season he's played. The only times Dans has been around league average was last year in 60 game shortened season, and his first season of less than 40 games.

His 97 WRC+ this season is absolutely "around league average"
