The Reverse Pennant Chase

We’ll win one of these two most likely. Fish have little to play for, also Fried And Sims will be trying to make good impressions going into next year.

As of games through 9/29:

T1.) Giants (63-97, .394)

T1.) Tigers (63-97, .394)

3.) Phillies (65-95, .406)

4.) White Sox (66-94, .413)

5.) Reds (67-93, .419)

6.) Mutts (69-91, .431)

7.) Padres (70-90, .438)

8.) Braves (71-89, .444)

9.) Pirates (73-87, .456)

T17.) Royals (79-81, .494)

So if I understand the rules, we are guaranteed no worse than 8th and we have a small small chance of 6th, but more than likely we will stick where we are.

Are the people rooting for the sixth draft pick having fun? To me, you are as miserable as the Braves.

Yeah, why would any fan of a team in a lost season want their team to get the best possible players in the draft?

Let me ask you this since you claim to be the "real paying fan": How many games do you attend per year? How many this year? How much do you travel to watch the Braves in other ballparks?

Padres win. If they win tomorrow and we lose the next two, we pick ahead of them.

The only way the Braves pick ahead of Padres is if Braves lose out(currently losing game 3 vs Fish 6-0) and Padres win out. If Padres/Braves tie with records, Padres pick ahead due to a worse record head head to head.

The only way the Braves pick 6th is by losing out, Padres winning out, and Mutts win out thus tying Braves. Braves have a worse head to head record vs Mutts.

Yeah. 13 is people reading something that isn't there.

It is literally the fibonacci sequence. 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21.... Its a well known thing. When you plop three numbers from it, its pretty easy to make the assumption that is the sequence you are going with. Enscheff is right though, it could be either bc not enough information
