but I don't think half the country is like that...and if half were then I wouldn't hesitate to apply the term...sometimes most of a country loses it and it remains for those of us who haven't to make the observation about what is happening

I agree she has said deplorable things and I think it needs to be covered. She is both victim and perp in this situation. The two need are not mutually exclusive.
She ihs a 'victim' because she has immunity for all the trash she says. If she wasnt an antisemite, antiamerican pro hamas piece of trash there would be no animosity towards her.
For all the cheering on 'punch a nazi' i dont fet the hesitancy to call omar out for what she is.
Trump is the result of pandering to people that actually vote. He doesn't care about young people, black people, or other minorities, because they don't vote. He pandered 40+ year old lower-middle class white people, because that is who votes. I'll give him credit for knowing his audience.
And yet he has more minority support than any republican president/candidate in a long time. Keep throwing veiled racist comments and watch as americans realize the left doesnt have an interest in their well being.
Exactly how was Obama the worst Prez in decades? I don't think he was amazing or anything, but his policies help to cut the unemployment rate from 10% to 4.7% over six years, ended pre-existing condition clauses for insurance (which I think is HUGELY underrated), ended the War in Iraq (which was costing us billions), ectc. I don't think there's been a exceptionally good Prez since Reagan, but I'd put Obama over Clinton and GW.

Bush's overall approval rating was ****, and Trump's is basically down there with him. Romney was an elitist and a terrible candidate. I don't know what the numbers on McCain were to corroborate that. That's basically the last 20 years.
I mean I guess. I don't see how that's worse, but certainly it was petty, to say the least. The Clinton's are pretty terrible people though.

boorish people would be my definition...but its never smart for a politician to fire up the opposition by calling them names...except for commie and socialist...those seem pretty effective...
all right I have a small confession to make: some (though not most) of my opposition to Trump and his supporters is on esthetic grounds...I could share a colorful story or two about weddings I've attended...but I will leave it at that...shoot me...in some ways i'm a snob...I wish nothing but happiness for Trump's basket of deplorables...but I also wish they would show a little class

Economic 'growth' out of a deep recession is one of the biggest guarantees in american history. His policies made it one of the worst recoveries of all time.
Pulling out of a war us great but his intervention in other areans led to the rise of ISIS whoch devasted the region for years.
Lets ignore him giving hezbollah a free pass to operate in tge western hemisphere and giving Iran billions in cash which facilitated tgeir export of terror and furtger destablization of the middle east.
He, like thise before him, sat idly by while china crushed the middle class and stole our technology.
Yes, Obama was an absolute disaster.
