your example is the 2nd amendment (that wasn't written for any of these examples)
was helpful in the church shooting (for no apparent reason though) and had 2 people killed
and the knife attack that thankfully hasn't cost anyone their life yet would be better off if more people had guns

The gunman illegally possessed a firearm. No gun control measure would have changed that. The only thing gun control would have done in this situation is caused more people to be killed.
