The Trump Presidency

I never got that unhinged about Cheney. I didn't agree with much of his worldview, but he understood how the levers of government worked and how to play both the inside and outside games. Bannon may understand power in the abstract, but I don't think he knows how the system really works. Plus, I think Bannon is a megalomaniac.

didnt Cheney want to invade Iraq by surprise before even making the public case for it?

Everything about this administration is amazing.

Edit: There's also an old Trump Tweet for every occasion:

No, I need specifics. DoD needs at least a little fine tuning. Yea or Nay?

Of course it does. I always go under the assumption that every government department is inefficient. I just know more about the DOE because in a previous life in was about to be a math teacher and so many of my close family and friends are teachers.

OK, to show you what putting this "lady" in charge of the DOE is about the same as putting Steak Sauce in charge of the DoD. That would be going against the status quo, right? It must be a good idea then.

It seems to me the left is extremely sexist for treating Devos the way they have... I guess they don't think a woman can do the job

I"m not sure which direction I get lumped in with these days, I guess it depends on who you ax. But my comparison stands, if Mrs. DeVoss is qualified to "reform" the DoE, given that had the Dems not stood in her way when she was going into that public school the other day that may well have been her first time to set foot in one, then Steak Sauce should be qualified to "reform" the DoD. After all, both are on record as "not being crazy about the overall operation and efficiency" of the department in question, neither has, to the best of my knowledge, any direct experience in running said department but we're seeking to "shake things up", "get away from that status quo" so why not? DeVoss to reform the DoE and Steak Sauce to reform the DoD.

So, what do you all think?
