The Trump Presidency

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Monday rejected a last-ditch attempt by former President Donald J. Trump to shield his financial records, issuing a brief, unsigned order requiring Mr. Trump’s accountants to turn over his tax and other records to prosecutors in New York.

The court’s order was a decisive defeat for Mr. Trump, who had gone to extraordinary lengths to keep his tax returns and related documents secret. There were no dissents noted.

If he never took that escalator ride and ran for president he’d be an incredibly

powerful, beloved media titan in a pandemic-free country, but now he’s an

internationally reviled, twice-impeached historic shame who’s about to go to jail
.

Man those Kavanaugh ACB justices are sure terrible at doing Trumps bidding. Its almost like the insane collective meltdown (and mass protests and occupying the Capitol and Supreme court) were a wild overreaction fueled by TDS

Man, I read the first line of this morons press release and remembered he wasn’t president etc and didn’t have to put up with that drunken rambling horse****

It, in the first line, was his usual same hits of lies when he use to be on twitter

strong is victimhood in that one

That's not really democracy related. What they are trying to do is make sure the grand jury has to pull from the rural area so it's more likely a Trump sycophant makes it on the jury. Jury selection on anything Tump related is going to be a nightmare regardless.

How is that not MORE democratic?

What does a grand jury have to do with Democracy? Whether you think the people SHOULD come from across the state is irrelevant imo. Trying to change the law/constitution to help a person suspected of a very serious crime like attempted election fraud AFTER the crime was committed is wrong. If the law was that it had to take from the entire state and Democrats wanted to change that to only the county the crime was committed in AFTER Trumps call that would be wrong as well. If they want to change the law/constitution for any future violations of the law regarding election fraud thats fine by me. Just not when its done specifically to help or hurt a person suspected of a serious crime like election fraud.
