I have to admit that I was transfixed by Trump's weird drunk racist uncle take on the NFL. I get that it played well in the room in Alabama, but that's a long-term loser.

What about Trump's habit of singling out successful black critics of his for venom is presidential truth-telling?

Not even sure why you would link the fact that these are black athletes that it makes any difference at all. Almost all discussions devolve to race now on the left.

Trump tells the truth 'insults' absolutely everyone. Get a new line....

So it's pure happenstance that it's black athletes, in some cases black athletes calling attention to inequities for blacks in American life, who are being called out? In front of a crowd in Alabama? Sure, buddy...

Its a national issue. Is he supposed to ignore it because they are black? It completely spits in the fact of his country first mantra and the left knows that yet is somehow surprised when he responds in this manner.

Keep making everything an issue about race.

So what about this is supposed to be understood as a "country first" issue?

What you're saying is that the right to say "get off my lawn" is a sacrosanct national issue, but everything else is off-limits?
 
What you seem to be saying is that the point of view of white Americans of a certain age and political viewpoint is the correct and palatable one, and everybody else should STFU...

You are cultivating a generation of anarchists. Looks at the recent polling numbers on the youths attitudes towards free speech as well as violence. You reap what you sow.
