The Trump Presidency

White House chief of staff John Kelly reportedly told other members of the Trump administration that if it were up to him the number of refugees admitted into the U.S. would be between zero and one.

Barf.

the whole trump thing is just a cult of personality at this point. there's no other way to explain people who aren't millionaires loving him.

it's why his about-face on so many issues doesn't bother his followers.
it's why the constant hypocrisy of criticizing Obama for things he himself is now doing, and doing to a much larger degree, doesn't matter.
it's why it doesn't matter that he's a proven fraud and con-man.
it's why it doesn't matter that he has about the most abhorrent character of any president ever.
these people don't take the country seriously anymore. it was painfully obvious they aren't taking it seriously when Sarah Palin was thought of by many to be worthy of being a powerful person in the world. the utter stupidity of listening to her speak and not being phased by how dumb and ignorant she was opened the door for **** stain like trump to be taken seriously. if you're willing to vote for palin as VP, you're willing to vote for anyone to do anything. facts, logic, actions, and words don't matter; it's just TRUMP. we're in a ****ed up place.

A friend just pointed the specific wording at the beginning of the WaPo Trump Dossier story:

The Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee helped fund research that resulted in a now-famous dossier containing allegations about President Trump’s connections to Russia and possible coordination between his campaign and the Kremlin, people familiar with the matter said.

Marc E. Elias, a lawyer representing the Clinton campaign and the DNC, retained Fusion GPS, a Washington firm, to conduct the research.

After that, Fusion GPS hired dossier author Christopher Steele
, a former British intelligence officer with ties to the FBI and the U.S. intelligence community, according to those people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Taken literally, the dossier didn't exist until after the Clinton campaign began funding the research.

His supporters wanted him to get rid of ACA, decrease immigration, reduce government regulation, return the US to an alpha stance in foreign policy, pull away from globalism, and focus on creating jobs, especially manufacturing jobs. Now those supporters see him making an effort to do those things, and even making real progress in some of those areas. All the Trump voters I know, and it's a lot, are happy with his policies. Most wish he wouldn't be such an ass, but they are pleased policy wise.

Now as for Palin, I can't help much there. McCain/Palin was easily the worst ticket since Mondale/Ferraro. We should all remember her this Thanksgiving:

Still not sure the problem. Or the whatabout... attached to this.

To my knowledge everything here is legal --- willing to stand corrected.

Kelly said he'd prefer to admit between zero and one refugees into the US each year: report

White House chief of staff John Kelly reportedly told other members of the Trump administration that if it were up to him the number of refugees admitted into the U.S. would be between zero and one.

The New York Times reported Wednesday that Kelly made the comment while the administration debated lowering the cap on the number of refugees allowed into the country.

President Trump eventually decided to lower the refugee cap to 45,000, the lowest levels since the Reagan administration, when the Refugee Act was passed. Officials said at the time that this number represents the maximum number of refugees possible under the administration's new vetting standards.

The way it should be. Learn from Europe's mistakes

"Officials familiar with the process say even if the application to monitor Page included information from the dossier, it would only be after the FBI had corroborated the information through its own investigation."

So it aided the report....

Wow. This is deeply wrong. Dems paid to research Trump-Russia connections. Trumpers met secretly with Kremlin emissary, learned of a covert Russia plan & still denied Putin was cyber-attacking the U.S., thus providing cover for the assault.
