The Trump Presidency

You should invest in an espresso machine.

nah I'm a french press kind of guy...and only one cup to get me going in the morning...but if I'm dragging in the afternoon red bull in my performance enhancing drug of choice

I’ll take a good French press if it’s made for me, but I’m normally catatonic until I get caffeine, so most mornings it’s a double-shot and I’m off to the races. I usually do a Green or Yerba tea in the afternoon for a pick me up. When the weather is warm I live and die by cold brew. Red Bull is the nuclear option.

Looks like the markets are loving the US tax reform.

Deregulation + Favorable tax policy = SO MUCH WINNING

Man - It must be amazing to be like 50-60 right now. Your 401K and other investments are killing it so bad and you're so close to retiring. Cash out in 6 months.

Mostly having to do with share buy backs. Looks like the tax holiday is going to have a big effect on those.

So the president of the USA has endorsed a sexual predator for the senate

Both parties are guilty of turning the other way to get their policy preference through.

Some potential for both serious up- and down-sides.

Yes, exactly.

If we're really going to go down this path, I'll take an approach based on competitive consumerism. I can think of hundreds of pitfalls, too, though.

One of the first pitfalls being the potential—after the wave of consolidation for which this seems likely to represent a crest—for an anti-competitive marketplace that further severely limits choice for consumers and industry-access for innovative start-ups and new entrants into the healthcare market.

Yes its nice that the Stock Market is up Mr. Trump, but 2 things....

1) The Market was up 151% Under Obama. It's up 23% under You...

2) The MAJORITY of Americans (52%) DO NOT own stocks.

Now stop Bragging!

The majority of Americans don't have retirement savings?

What an awful comparison when you compare the gains under each president. Its deliberately misleading information about the impressiveness of the accomplishment.
