The Trump Presidency

you know even trump admits that was bull****, right?

in that stupid thank you tour he admitted that

You're funny

You know there is video of it, right?

Getting rid of what?

What are you babbling about?

Uh, 30 second mark

Nope. You are dead wrong. Watch the entire video. He mentions that he thought the saying was hokey but he grew to like it. There isn't one mention of getting rid of it.

what are you babbling about again?

cause you are the only one saying he is "getting rid of it" or not (whatever the **** that even means since it is a phrase)

Perhaps we are misunderstanding each other. What did you mean by "you know even trump admits that was bull****, right?"

That it was a bull**** statement

He used it cause the people liked it. It meant nothing at all to him and he admitted that

Exactly. He played on the ignorance of his voters and now it's his own ignorance which is on display. And it's got nothing to do with liberal/conservative.

Common for politicians. What's new with Trump is how brazen he is about it and how he just insults his way forward.

He's a politician after all, just one with zero conscience. My biggest fear is now not that he'll be incompetent, but that he'll figure out how to dismantle the govt and create his dream job. It's not to be president of a democracy.

Perhaps my biggest concern with Trump right now is that he does not understand how the government works. Like, in a basic Civics 101 sense. I imagine that his administration is going to devolve into competing centers of power that are going to do real damage through either cupidity, ideology, or just plain incompetence.

Trump understands how it works. My biggest issues are with his policies. Russia, vaccines, trade policy, etc. I don't feel too good about those things.

I fear that he will learn exactly how to dismantle it. They have already attacked the offices that hold lawmakers to count. They are trying to push through Cabinet guys with little or no discussion. Just as he has learned how to skate around tax law and common business ethics for his own gain, he appears to know how to get around administrative oversight as well.

The elected president of the US is calling John Lewis a man that's all talk and no action.

"Maybe he'll change after he's elected"

.@realDonaldTrump spending MLK weekend attacking @repjohnlewis, who nearly died marching for right to vote in Selma. Beyond disgusting

I'd use the word deplorable.
But 75% of Trump voters have no idea what that word means

... yeah, I'm talking about you

Peter Daou

As the first black POTUS leaves office with honor, a new president supported by white nationalists fights with John Lewis on MLK weekend.
