The Trump Presidency

That's a very radical and Anglo-centric view.

The United States, with it's aggressive, knee-jerk foreign policy is by far the world's biggest threat.

The answer to this question is almost always a joke about how biased a person is, but I think the answer is Russia. At least the US doesn't annex all the countries we go to war with, haha.

Do you think these successes are random?

What successes??? You still haven't said.

I posted a link to an article that was generous to Trump's madman approach. The main point was that one offs here and there do NOT amount to anything unless they are coordinated and connected to a lasting foreign policy. Trump will be gone soon. Even 8 years is a blip on the screen compared to the Dictator for Life crew. Trump's approach must blend with the long term, meaning our allies abroad.

If evidence is found that Trump, Jared or any of his team has re-directed American foreign policy for personal financial gain for the Trump brand, I hope that each one gets charged with treason and faces the full spectacle of a public trial.

I actually think being the world's biggest threat is a positive if the power isn't abused. Russia is a threat but not near as big or far-reaching as the U.S.

What a pathetic take. Just embarassing.
I hold that it's not only historically accurate, but also an objective, non-political viewpoint. What makes the U.S. such a threat is the constant turnover of the WH (American politics having far reaching consequences), the shear size of its military reach and the fact that any military conflict can have such a domino effect.

I'll bet that most everyone in the Pentagon shares this view and I hope they do.

There’s not one country in the world that would consider the US as their biggest threat other than North Korea and perhaps Syria.

I think "Iran should be eliminated" is the embarrassing take.

I wouldn't formulate it exactly the way Runnin did, but he's right in essence. We have more capacity to do more harm than anyone else, and have been sadly too willing to act aggressively and out of step with our partners. When we don't use that power judiciously, the results are manifold and devastating.

Look no further than the invasion of Iraq. Think of all the hornets' nests that kicked up--to say nothing of the pure human toll. Not least of those was Iran's elevation in the region, which you're now saying warrants more military action. Great. That's done wonders so far.

Likewise our (HRC-sponsored) involvement in Libya and our current co-sign of the mess in Yemen.

If you think Iran should be "eliminated," I'd say grab a rifle or GTFO.

Ok, I misunderstood you (I think thethe did as well). Agreed.

Russia is mostly a threat to Eastern European countries and an annoyance for EU/US through stuff like misinformation campaigns, etc.

I also outwardly call for the (non-violent) eradication of Israel (in its current, apartheid-state formulation).

Yeah, those damn Israelis that offer the most freedom to women in the middle east. Horrible people.

The world would undoubtedly be a safer place if the leadership or Iran was eradicated. It would be the exact opposite if the US did not exist.

Not if you’re a Palestinian woman, or even an Ethiopian Jewish woman.

South Africa was pretty cush and fancy free, too, for a certain set under apartheid.

Palestinian women have as much of not more freedom than any other country in the middle east actually

I think we've all learned what happens when there is suddenly a power vacuum in that part of the world. And after you take out Iran's leadership?

You may have said this directly before, but I guess your dream is an all out holy war.

Don't kid yourself. Not even Mexico and Cuba? China and Russia? We're the biggest threat because we're the biggest bull in the china shop of world peace. We don't have to directly attack a county with our military to be its biggest threat. Just look at the still smoldering residual effects of the Iraq fiasco.

The biggest threats to Cuba, Russia and China is western democracy gaining steam within their borders. They don’t fret over American Military power. There’s a 0% chance the US military invades Russia or China unless its provoked like Pearl Harbor or 9/11. Power respects power.

I'm not religious on the slightest but I do think Islam encourages evil.
