The Trump Presidency

Hey, he wants to end “chain migration”

You know, the way his fake trophy wife and her family got here

This whole Omarosa thing just adds to the incredible surrealness of the Trump presidency. It makes perfect sense that Omarosa would be in the Trump White House while at the same time it makes no sense. And then to see it end exactly like I would expect with her being a soap opera villian, it's still surprising to see it end exactly like I would expect, as her being a soap opera villain. It's weird. It just seems normal and abnormal at the same time.

A lot to unpack here, but maybe we shouldn’t fill the White House with “crazed, crying lowlifes?”

what is surreal is that anyone thinks this guy should be in the Oval Office....it is entirely predictable based upon his track record that he would surround himself with people like her...the list of questionable hires is quite long...Porter, Flynn, Gorka, Pruitt, Bannon, Manafartov, Scaramucci etc etc etc. Even the good hires, like Mattis, happen for comical reasons such as his being impressed by Mattis being nicknamed "Mad Dog." I guess Greg Maddux has a chance in this administration.

hire a reality TV star for an important job (and I'm not talking about Omarosa) that requires intelligence, knowledge and judgment and you get what you deserve

All 3 presidents before Trump admitted to smoking marijuana in their youth. Trump says he has never done drugs. Clearly we need a President who has done drugs.

Trump is passing up a goldmine. Legalize marijuana then launch Trump brand weed as soon as he gets out of office.

This Omarosa thing highlights something that grinds my gears. People in authority get all the benefit of the doubt so the only way to prove it is to record them. Now they are crying about her recording. This is how police get you. Their word is gold in court and they act very hostile to people recording them. They know video is the only thing that can prove them wrong. So how do you prove an officer wrong if they lie and you cant record them?

“I believe that the movement against asbestos was led by the mob, because it was often mob-related companies that would do the asbestos removal. Great pressure was put on politicians, and as usual, the politicians relented. Millions of truckloads of this incredible fire-proofing material were taken to special ‘dump sites’ and asbestos was replaced by materials that were supposedly safe but couldn’t hold a candle to asbestos in limiting the ravages of fire.”

Trump didn't get his parade because he thought he could steamroll the city of Washington DC.
As knowledgeable writers told when the idea was first trial ballooned.
What else do the writers know Trump doesn't ?

And DC has proven if we stand up we can hold this asshole in check

A parade ---- sheee at

so thankful that he brought these people out of the shadows to feel comfortable again

wasn't sure if it should go here or the meme thread

but seems appropriate for both and hope it doesn't get scfl's panties in a wad

William H. McRaven, a retired Navy admiral, was commander of the U.S. Joint Special Operations Command from 2011 to 2014. He oversaw the 2011 Navy SEAL raid in Pakistan that killed al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

Dear Mr. President:

Former CIA director John Brennan, whose security clearance you revoked on Wednesday, is one of the finest public servants I have ever known. Few Americans have done more to protect this country than John. He is a man of unparalleled integrity, whose honesty and character have never been in question, except by those who don’t know him.

Therefore, I would consider it an honor if you would revoke my security clearance as well, so I can add my name to the list of men and women who have spoken up against your presidency.

Like most Americans, I had hoped that when you became president, you would rise to the occasion and become the leader this great nation needs.

A good leader tries to embody the best qualities of his or her organization. A good leader sets the example for others to follow. A good leader always puts the welfare of others before himself or herself.

Your leadership, however, has shown little of these qualities. Through your actions, you have embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humiliated us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation.

If you think for a moment that your McCarthy-era tactics will suppress the voices of criticism, you are sadly mistaken. The criticism will continue until you become the leader we prayed you would be.
