The Trump Presidency

--- you dont get to fake racism without, racism.
Like you cant have a fake handoff without the threat of a real handoff

The hat in and of itself is not racist -- but people seem to universally attach that meaning

I agree because that's what one side wants it to mean.

I thought his story sounded sketchy and suspect from the jump. On the other hand, and I think this is what 57 is getting at, we live in a country where a guy in Indiana shot two Indian engineers in a bar because he was mad about Iranians, and 2Lt Richard Collins got randomly killed in Maryland because he was black, and two Good Samaritans got stabbed to death on a train for stepping in front of a guy who was harassing two Muslim girls. To say nothing of Emanuel AME or Tree of Life, etc. As much as it’s entirely fair to be mad at this dude for his fabrication, it doesn’t really warrant the outrage, if such outrage is not accompanied by genuine reflection and intellectual honesty about the legitimate history of racist violence—often random—in this country.

To sum up, I’m not sure why we should agree that OMG FAKE RACISM ACCUSATIONS should dominate the national discourse to the exclusion of all else when real, tangible, sometimes deadly racist—and sometimes politically motivated—violence is very much a concern, and rarely meaningfully addressed?

When is racism against white people going to be talked about? What about racism against MAGA hat wearers?

I think when we've got to a point in our society where it is lucrative to be a victim, we have a systemic problem that was self-inflicted.

There will always be hateful, bigoted people who do terrible things because they are unhappy and are losers. Those people should be dismissed as evil.

There should never be people who feel so convinced that people who dont think like them should be accused of fake crimes in order to shift public opinion against them.

Something is not right there, and it wouldn't be done if the environment wasnt easy to profit from

It is not possible to be racist against white people bc white people have had it easier in the past.

It is time to even the score

And the white people who are being persecuted against had nothing to fo with the horrid historical acts but apparently they shoulf pay for them becaue why?

White people still have it easier, if you don't believe that, you're a moron.

The plight of the white man, all advantages life gives them means they have nothing to complain about. So they need a support group to complain about that. Buncha snowflakes.

Ok, so we must not have a conversation about past and present endemic and structural racism, but we must immediately discuss FAKE RACISM, as defined by you. Cool.

Like, we’re not going to talk about actual racist and religiously-motivated violence, but it’s essential that we address FAKE RACISM.

Like, actual aspiring terrorists using your talking points are not worth talking about, but instead let’s discuss FAKE RACISM.

I just found it telling the minute that hat was invoked everyone assumed the same.
Which kinda is textbook racism.

When was America Great anyway ?
No one has ever defined that phrase that doesnt involve some form of racism/xenophobia

Calm down.

We can talk about both.

One has been around forever and will likely be around for ever.

The other is a pretty new phenomenon that a certain sized portion of the population have made popular

Yall have been calling everybody racists for years. Its lost its meaning and now its over corrected into encouraging people to really prove it exists by faking it.

Weird you should say that, since being a victim is part of your whole schtick.
