The Trump Presidency

True, and I don't think this was a big deal in and of itself, but a couple of things on this. First given the things that have been said by Repubs in general and minorities and others of diversity in particular I don't think it's totally crazy for them to wonder if they're going to have the same protections under Trump/Pence as they did under Obama/Biden. There's no proof, other than rhetoric that anything's going to change, but this was a golden opportunity for Pence to address the issue and all but eliminate the whole issue with just a few assuring words. I guess there isn't the urgency to accomplish anything like that but why let a solution to even a potential problem just be thrown away, unless you really just don't care.

Also, and this one seems more significant (if you want to call it that) to me, what does Trump mean "...a safe space" after all the sh!t Repubs have been throwing around about libs needing safe spaces when things don't go their way. I know it was just a figure of speech but it wasn't a very good one, IMO.

Here you go OHawk - that radical homophobe Pence:

You can see when we PM each other? Does this mean you know about Bedell and I PMing naked pics of ourselves to each other?

I can't. I can see what everyone is currently doing (reading a forum, browsing a thread, commenting on something, reading a PM, etc) but I can't see what you're sending each other. Otherrwise I would have PM'd both of you to make those pictures public and spread the wealth.

I stand by what I said originally, I think Pence took it (and handled it) like a man, Trump was the wuss this time, IMO. The main thing I think was bad was that Pence had a chance to say a few words to let them know that yes we will treat all Americans fairly and equally. He said something pretty similar to his younguns when the crowd would boo in places and cheer in places. You could argue he shouldn't have to say something like that, especially in that sort of venue, and you'd probably be right, but this country is mega-divided right now and if they want to be the people to bring us all together, is it ever too early to start the process?

Come on dude, inquiring minds want to know (and see)!!! :icon_biggrin:

Is that video a start? Dunno.

The loser that says he will defeat Isis is still crying on Twitter about a play and SNL

Well the sHillary losers are going to 2nd grade coloring books and Play Doh to fix their emotional instability issues. Now that is funny stuff there.

Walked around Trump Tower (outside) on Saturday. Was disappointed with the lack of protestors...was hoping to see a little action. Impressive police presence. There was a police checkpoint about a block from the tower with a sign saying you consent to a random check by walking past this point. The tower is on 5th ave between 56th and 57th, and even walking over to say 55th and 6th, there would be a group of three or four officers stationed on the corner. I'm sure de Blasio is just thrilled. All the high end shops in the area can't be too pleased either, but the good news is if any of them get robbed, the thief won't get far.

As someone who travels into Manhattan 2-3 times a week, I'm not looking forward to the idea of Trump "splitting time" between NYC and DC, and now it sounds like the wife and youngest son might live in the city for the time being. For traffic's sake, I hope they build a helipad or something on Trump Tower. I wonder what the taxpayer bill is going to be each time he goes back and forth...

Melania won't be leaving NYC. She didn't marry that old fart to move into the White House. She wants her penthouse mansion.

But it will be a hella good use of taxpayer dollars with the extra secret service and all the flights on air force one.

Yay for smaller governemnt.
