He just gave 8 years of hard work and with a low count of vacation days. I can't imagine why it would matter to anyone but he's done plenty.

How much have the Waltons donated? Or the Kochs?
 
It's okay to scrutinize Trump for giving, but it's not okay to scrutinize Obama - he of newly minted $60MM book deal - for not giving a cent (instead, shopping for a compound on Martha's Vineyard).

How dare an ex-President get all uppity. They don't have any special needs like extra security and I'm sure any neighborhood would just love them moving in nextdoor.

Or even better, the Obamas and their Secret Service Troop should rent out a whole floor on a public housing tenement. It would be no problem to for other tenants to move.

Sorry if I'm not joining the hallelujah chorus yet. Considering that a reporter won a Pulitzer last year for demonstrating the cynicism and outright fraud of Trump's charitable "donations" over the years, maybe it's best to wait 'til some checks clear.

That's right. Because we know Trump is a liar and a fraud. Also Trump has a place to live.
 
But sure, criticize the guy whose finances were transparent while continuing to carry water for the dude who wouldn't release his tax returns.

Its ok to look at Obama's charitable giving. They are available in his publicly disclosed tax returns. Is there any information to share with the rest of us about whether he plans to give to Harvey relief? Please do if you have any.

How do you know he's not giving? Did he Tweet that he wasn't donating any money to Texas? Because other than that, I wonder how you would know. Most people who donate money do NOT make it public.
