The Trump Presidency

You have to look at it from their perspective. They can vote for a rage inducing demon-crat who will take away their guns allow the Mexicans to take over and the gays to do whatever they want, or a legendary conservative who happened to be a little frisky with the almost legal girls a lifetime ago. He's now a forgiven christian and only looking out for his fellow conservative's values.

Come on, how does he not win?

To recap today:
1) President of the United States mixed up name of town to which he sent condolences for latest mass school shooting
2) 2 more women accuse GOP senate candidate of molestation
3) Trump admin relaxes protections against elephant poaching

Just like with Trump, the GOP is better off without him. If he wins it's just gonna be more fodder for the pile on next Nov.

Senate GOP plan would give big tax cuts to millionaires, raise taxes on poor, working class, Congress's nonpartisan analysts say.

"good for everyone"

Internal Republican polling has Moore down 12 points. Unless the half-baked ‘Sessions back to Bama and no election at all’ ploy somehow manages to work, I think Moore stays in and ends up winning.

You might be right
That is what veteran Alabama reporters are saying too.

National trends the past couple months -- tells me there is something else gong on.
For instance - Oklahoma has had 4 state office special elections these past months and all flipped (D). Including one district where Trump won by 40 points.
Not to mention the Va House of Delegates. (D) gains there were historical

This Alabama election is interesting

No, I'm responding to a small pet peeve of mine, in which you often engage, that implies that poor people don't pay taxes. If you mean federal income tax, say it.

Now that’s an interesting take.

Seems like it's actually a pretty banal take (no offense, Julio). The blanket sales tax is a good example of a regressive tax that "poor people" pay, and which is actually more burdensome the poorer you are. And it's why you find a lot of people otherwise comfortable with taxation, like myself, who are against blanket sales taxation—though I do personally support targeted sales (and/or excise) taxes on "luxury" items.

We're talking about a federal tax bill, right? What federal taxes do poor people pay?

And while you're at it, let me know how this bill makes them pay more

When the federal monies disappear and the states and localities are left to pay the bill. Guaranteed sales taxes etc will rise.

Of course the poorer people will end up funding the tax breaks. Like McCaskell said.

Defund Medicare and Medicaid, who is left with that bill

Things cost what they cost regardless who pays for it.

The street you drive on,the Air Traffic Controllers,National Park rangers, CDC,National Meteorlogical, OSHA.

Just because there is a federal as opposed to state tax cuts life doesnt stop
