The Trump Presidency

You consistently take the most weird and wrong-headed positions on North Korea.

It seems that way since I don't pretend that the U.S. has a right to say who can have nuclear weapons.

NK is surely a threat in more ways than their nuclear program and they should be watched and covertly thwarted at every step, vigilantly. But this current back and forth is just sabre rattling by NK because sanctions are squeezing the life out of them and that's the only card they have left. Trump has found a good dance partner. It's about the only stage he has where he can try to act Presidential. Of course, that's impossible for him.

The nuclear secret is long out of the bag and all this shaking over NK with the bomb seems so 1950's. Cyber, chemical and biological attacks could be much more damaging. NK is a rogue nation for sure but short of taking them out, what options do you have other than to string them along? I think the best course has always been to downplay the taunts when possible. I don't see how a public pissing contest between two country leaders can ever be a good idea, especially when both may be insane or at lest willing to feign insanity for their own political ends.

Okay, something weird: We will soon find that Jared has long had ties with NK and set this whole charade up to bolster both leaders' popularity at home.

What does the data tell you about the fortunes the middle quintile over the last few decades, as compared to those of the top?

I'm quite certain my views are clear. The middle quintile is less because there are more people better off. In no world is this a bad thing unless you only support equal outcomes.

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/employers-might-have-a-tough-time-hiring-cheap-labor-if-trump-deports-everyone/article/2644906

If President Trump has his way and is able to deport virtually all 11.3 million unauthorized immigrants living in the United States, then that would create a dearth of possible workers and cheap labor that many employers in the United States can take advantage of. They'll soon find that they actually benefitted greatly from illegal immigration. The concept of holding someone's immigration status hostage will be lost as leverage. They'll no longer be able to depreciate wages or even engage in the immoral practice of wage theft, and, in the end, will have to hire American, which comes at a higher price and could diminish profit margins.

Trump needs to preach this from the stump till the cows come home. The left talks out of both sides of their mouth. They claim they want to help the poor/middle class and simultaneously want open borders. The two cannot exist in the same universe and if Trump can convey that message to the poor/middle class AMERICANS then he is going to fight an easily winnable battle and will be a shattering blow to the left.

There is no non-emotional reason to have large levels of unskilled immigration. Its all about making us feel better about ourselves and not any sense of logic.

Are we going to see the Dow over 25K today?

Hurry! Bring more into the country. Got to keep giving people our money!

Does that hurt your feelings? Those athletes should not be kneeling. We bitch about America and yet there are real injustices in the world. I wonder how the Iranian people who are being killed in the street feel about people complaining about rights.

Its very clear why MSM pumps up stupid crap like this bannon book. They want to make sure Americans don't realize how much better their lives are now and how much better they are going to get.
