He was from a VERY humble background, has more small business knowledge, is slightly more personable, and wouldn't be thought of as a racist.

Dr. Carson is more of an unknown on the economy, but he did say the right things. He was probably the most intelligent presidential candidate of my lifetime. I had high hopes for both. I hope the GOP can do a better job of promoting minority candidates in the future, because I really think both of these guys had the potential to be great at the job.

Not only that. We need to send a new message to the minority communities of this country. Empowering them to realize their potential instead of programming that the system is out to get them will do wonders.

Its not Americas obligation to house the world. It was a temporary status and now they have a country to go back to. We should be working to improve the world and not takt he worlds population on.

I know you want the votes for those kids.

But those Hispanic Americans that will now get a better opportunity to have a more prosperous life will benefit from these changes. They may not realize it unfortunately but they will benefit. We have no obligation to citizens of other countries.

It’s got to be Nikki Haley in 2020. The gop will run a minority woman and the left will still call them a bunch of sexist and racist.
 
First off, I admire your silence on the topic of brown skinned immigrants. I know this has been bugging you and how hard it must have been to stay silent for so long.

I’d be willing to be that if you took the top 10% of minorities that got their money through education and working their way up the corporate ladder, the majority of them would be republicans. they’re smart and they can see through all the democratic bull**** that holds blacks down.

The Dow Jones industrial average jumped 116 points to hit an intraday record. The S&P 500 also hit a fresh all-time intraday high rising 0.3 percent. Health care and financials were the best-performing sectors in the S&P 500. The Nasdaq composite climbed 0.1 percent; it also hit a record.

Small-business confidence hit a record high in 2017, according to the National Federation of Independent Businesses.

The National Federation of Independent Businesses on Tuesday released its Small Business Optimism Index for, capping "an all-time record setter" of a year in 2017, according to the right-leaning lobbying group.

The optimism index came in at 104.9 in December. According to the NFIB, the index's average monthly level was 104.8 in 2017, the highest in the history of the the survey.

Juanita Duggan, the president and CEO of the NFIB, pinned the increase in optimism on policy changes from Washington under President Donald Trump.

"With a massive tax cut this year, accompanied by significant regulatory relief, we expect very strong growth, millions more jobs, and higher pay for Americans," Duggan said in the release.
 
By so many measures Trumps first year in office was one of the best ever by a President. We should all be thrilled about the direction our country is going in.
