The Trump Presidency

Those manufacturing advocates also note that when global aluminum prices fell more than 25% a couple years ago, beer companies didn't slash prices at the store. The advocates call hypocrisy on beer companies for complaining now about higher aluminum prices.

Yes - I don't need a tweet or an article to tell me this

geez TikiBoi, awfully snowflakedy today

The point of looking at the article fortifies Borowitz' statement that you found (really not sure why) ironic.

You weren't a Trump voter as I recall but a late to the party supporter.
As it were

Between this and the 2nd amendment comments, he's lost most of the support I could have offered him

aw shucks he'll throw another $2 a week on your paycheck, another billion a year to the Koch's . They (the Kochs or some other psuedo intellectual Libertarian nonsenser) will tell you it is all alright and you will snap into line

Just like always

Trump had a 5 point economic plan

1. Tax reform

2. Regulatory reform

3. Trade reform

4. Infrastructure

5. I cant remember the 5th

He's now delivered on at least 3

no, I have seen that .

PLEASE STOP framing climate change denial as matter of ignorant yokels disbelieving science.

It’s a deeply coordinated propaganda campaign bankrolled by right-wing owners of capital,

whose interests would be threatened by any legitimate effort to curb emissions. Treat it as such.

and these would be the people you feel have your and the country's best interest.
Conservatives serve themselves.

That is pretty much the lesson from the latest tax bill in a nutshell.
And the tax cuts of the first Bush 43 and the tax cuts of the Reagan era.

Conservative dogma is a shell game.
So no, it is irresponsible to allow them to drive the economic or social conversation.

This myth of Conservatism has led to Trump.
Again, all of the signs were there

You once said you agreed with the never Trumpers --- but boy you predictably snapped into line tout suite

1. Why am I tiki boy?

2. I didn't vote for Trump

3. I supported many of his policies as he's been a breath of fresh air from the previous admins

4. I am not a mindless drone and am capable or supporting and critiquing the same political party simultaneously

5. Borowitz should know that our education system is awful... That happens to coincide with the federal government taking it over and has successfully brainwashed the younger generation

I noticed you never responded to the data about poor people doing better substantially...

Or do you still wanna cling to your "middle class has been destroyed" dogma

I notice the party of science and reason doesn't like to talk data much

Contextual data

Just random numbers --- no.
I do see them as food for thought but to comment yea or nay, nah, won't get into that

A random graph or data , even posted by myself has to have context.
Do you measure a baseball player by one stat ?
Is player xyz a great player because he drove in 100 runs ?

Trump keeps his promise by imposing tarrifs

Not sure why y'all doubt him. He's following through on both his good and dumb ideas

I'm a fan. Put import tariffs on everything. Make domestic manufacturing the force it used to be.

I am generally a fan too. In this case, it's just as much about combating Chinese dilution tactics as it is reviving the domestic market. Win-win.

Yes, prices will rise. Yes, it could spark a trade war.

The country is better equipped to handle either, or both, now than it has been at any point over the past decade.

Liberals hate that Trump is the first president in decades that actually has come through on his campaign promises. In a way he is the most honest politician of our lifetime.
