The Trump Presidency

I think the civilized world will ostracize/isolate Putin's Russia.

They have been trying to for quite some time. Why do you think Putin acts out? Why do you think the North Korean leader acts out?

I also think Trump will be marginalized after the mid terms.
Regardless the party in power.

Has nothing to do with what we were discussing.

Of course I favor better relations with Russia.
Memory serves we agreed on that point.
We too agreed Putin as leader was an obstacle.
You have obviously changed your mind

Kim Jong-un is an obstacle too.

Not congratulating a leader on a political victory is not going to remove the obstacle.

Sometimes, in diplomacy, you have to deal with the hand you've been dealt.

Petulancy gets you nowhere.

The problem is that the information you consume is so dumbed down/politically blunted that it's impossible to have discourse with you.

It's not that black and white. It just ain't.

You are smart, well-informed, knowledgeable, but the way you broad-brush the issues is painful.

Anytime someone tries to go into the nitty-gritty, you disappear.

It will be awhile. He is reading his favorite book that LOLGOP wrote "Liberal Thought for Dummies 101"

That could be the reason for his absence when confronted. That book does not have any logical recourse to counter you. It deals with paint brush response and not the minutiae you post.

2012 = pre Russian annexations

Courtesy world leader to worldleader. Russia hadn't poisened people in Great Britain earlier in the week

Russia wasn't shown to have interfered in the previous US election

Russia hadn't earlier that week been outed by the Dept of Homeland Security having compromised or utility grids

wasn't 2012 when Putin was re instated as President ( or whatever term they use )

context

2012 vs 2018

Yeah - Russia was an innocent world player prior to 2012. Context...

I think hat they did wrong was represent a client that hired Michael Flynn after being warned not to.

Suppose Trump never hired Flynn

Obama extended an olive branch to the newly elected Russian leader.
That isn't hard
and take it you disagree

why not explain why Obama was wrong to congratulate Putin
