I think this is something even "grosser" than "consulting"...there is actually a term for it
 
The SCOTUS decision in the Bob McDonnell case made it extremely difficult to prosecute this kind of influence peddling. Between that and Citizens United, it's hard to imagine any kind of meaningful reform.

Tell me what John McCain has done to be respected. He gladly took up the government's offer to go murder people in Vietnam. I respect the hell out of the ww1/2 generation but if we aren't attacked or someone isn't literally invading half the world then just having a USA patch on a uniform doesn't make you the good guy. Let's see when he came home he married a rich woman whoe fortune comes from alcohol, a drug that kills tens of thousands a year and often causes violent and criminal behavior. The double talking ahole says he recused himself from bills that pertain to alcohol because of his financial conflixtbof interest but has repeatedly voted against marijuana legalization which every study has shown leads to less alcohol consumption. What else?

still don't like Trump but this is one of my favorite things he has done. We shouldn't allow these animals to affect us. The worse the reaction from these people the better I think the move was. I don't want these people who hate us and want to force their religion on us to hide in the shadows. It's bad enough we let Christians vote to force their religion unwilling people.

Preaching to the choir man. You will never be able to negotiate with animals. All they know is strength. The Iranian leaders were laughing at the West for signing that deal. Give them money to hedge their current proxy wars while just delaying the ability to enrich uranium to put on a warhead all the while the technology improves making that window smaller and smaller. It was a sick joke the last administration played on the world. An intentional decision to destabilize and recreate a new world order.
