The Trump Presidency

Well for starters I enjoy his political/societal commentary and otherwise campaign finance is so murky that I'm sure loads of people could be prosecuted. I feel his persecution, by the law rightfully so, was more politically driven than ethical.

There's nothing murky about what he did. Making straw donations, in fact, demonstrates that you are aware of cf regulations and determined to circumvent them.

Trump also said he was considering pardoning Rod Blagojevich.

He is the former governor of Illinois who got popped for trying to sell the Senate vacancy created by Obama's election.

Is this ok, too?

Seems like you can draw a direct line between tolerance of this kind of blatant corruption and what's going on with Michael Cohen, etc right now.

Don't know anything about this but from your description is sound's pretty bad.

I think its ridiculous as well. The amount of people who dont hold atleast one opinion that is considered abhorrent is very small. Quite frankly I am tired of this apology culture. One of the few things I like about Trump is he doesnt apologize about ****. Apologies are almost always meaningless and if anything they are just apologizing for daring to go against group think and they still hold their abhorrent view but they just keep it to themselves more.

I've recently had occasion to reflect on the nature of apologies and come to pretty much the same conclusion. I think in way too many cases an apology is used to:

1) evade a true accounting (including restitution if feasible) for harm done

2) evade making a true effort to change underlying behavior that made the apology necessary

Not all apologies are bad. But I've come to the conclusion that 1) or 2) hold very often and in those cases an apology is actually a bad thing. So hear hear to Trump never apologizing. It is preferable to the hypocrisy that characterizes a lot of apologies
