I think nsacpi is generally right here, but I'd add the caveat that certain externalities are under-weighed in deregulation decisions. Economic growth is essential, but it's not the only consideration. Blindly cheering deregulation might well mean cheering on real societal damage (financial crisis, ecological ruin), the cost of which is ALWAYS socialized.
I'll take this guy, his message, and his work every day over grandstanding and flag-wrapping.

Jenkins and his teammates should wear the dis-invitation to the White House as a badge of honor.
Some earn badges of honor by putting their lives on the line for others.

Dont think it out on a limb to say any carrot afforded Iran in your eyes is unacceptable
Trudeau pressed Trump on how he could justify the tariffs as a "national security" issue. In response, Trump quipped to Trudeau, "Didn't you guys burn down the White House?" referring to the War of 1812.
The problem with Trump's comments to Trudeau is that British troops burned down the White House during the War of 1812. Historians note the British attack on Washington was in retaliation for the American attack on York, Ontario, in territory that eventually became Canada, which was then a British colony.
"The idea that we are somehow a national security threat to the United States is, quite frankly, insulting and unacceptable," Trudeau told NBC's Meet the Press.
