The point has been made a couple of times, but it's worth repeating. What's being called "civility" is actually deference.

I'm not sure why sturg seems so opposed to citizens excercising their rights to speech and free assembly in order to hold the government accountable. I did not see any violence, or threats of violence, in the clip he posted.

i know why.
doesn't care when trump isn't civil. which he literally never is. never mentions it. doesn't matter to him.

I already explained this.

Anyhow, theyre already putting secret server protection at SHS house.

And I think the Trump people will retaliate.

Hence why I said "escalate"

And if the left wants to stoop to Trump levels of civility, thats fine. Just don't complain about Trump's behavior then.

Not to mention I think it will be good campaign fodder for the GOP

I'm going to keep trying to rationally respond to you, knowing you are just an emotional basket case.

Trump is who he is. Everyone knows this and he is not changing. He is a truly awful human being whom i do not respect at all.

However, constantly showcasing his terrible behavior is not an effective strategy bc everyone already knew this before he was elected. People support the policies, not the man himself (just like Bill Clinton)

I shouldn't have to call out Trump behavior every day bc I already know he ia a terrible person and do not expect him to change

I think there is a danger in letting Trump's behavior become a justification for unacceptable behavior on the part of those of us opposed to him. We should not descend to his level. I'll also add that while I do not agree with the restaurant owner's decision to not serve Sarah Sanders, I think she conveyed her decision to Sanders in a respectful and civil manner.

On a slightly more speculative level, I think there are some people currently working in very high (and not so high) levels of the Trump administration who are acting out of a sense of patriotic duty. Others are enablers or enthusiastic participants in behavior that is very damaging to our country and its institutions. Others are dazed bystanders. And as with any administration there are various sorts of opportunists. It will take some time and perspective to sort out where various people fit within this taxonomy.

Anyone whose political position is that I should be imprisoned does not get civility from me. Over 600k people locked up every year over lies. But I am the bad guy if I inconvenience those people. ok.

Faux boy is seriously arguing one party should be allowed to do whatever and one shouldn’t act like them

Lol

Not getting in the mud and fighting them and actually be civil has led to these vile people

I look forward to.living in a country where both parties are just constantly screaming at each other at all times.

We're already there I guess.

Hell, you even said Trump voters deserved to die in a hurricane, so not sure I should expect much from you
