The Trump Presidency

What is the proper pronoun for a corporate entity such as the Trump Organization? I'm going to go with it. May it rest in peace.

Btw I would like to say bonjour to all my trumpophilic friends.

What's the implication i am making with that statement?

you really can't figure it out yet?

the republican party and the pro life crowd isn't actually pro life

it's pretty simple

you and they love a fetus

but yall ain't pro life

No I can't figure it out.

Are you saying the Republicans killed this girl? If so, are you aware of any of the facts?

Or are you saying Republicans don't care that she died?

Either way, I think you jumped the gun on a hot take and don't really know what you're talking about.

Today the president called someone a rat for cooperating with the Justice Department that he oversees.

I ask my trumpophilic friends: any of you surprised this is where we find ourselves?

GIULIANI, today: Trump paid Stormy Daniels because he "was very concerned about how this was going to affect his marriage"

GIULIANI, 5/3/18: "Imagine if that came out of October 15, 2016, in the middle of the last debate with Clinton…Cohen made it go away. He did his job"

Ineffective assistance of counsel is the applicable term of art I believe.

With or without Giuliani's multiple missteps I believe Trump's legal jeopardy is more severe than generally realized on this issue. The SDNY has to be seriously considering an indictment. I know there is DOJ guidance against indicting a sitting president. But what about for crimes that allowed him to get elected in the first place. It seems to me that even if there is a general policy against indicting a sitting president, there is a different set of considerations involved when the crime is one that was committed during the quest to become president. The office that confers immunity was itself improperly gained.

And there is a question I've raised before and think is worth asking again: What did David Pecker expect to get in exchange for helping his buddy that way? I suspect he's had that conversation with the good people of the SDNY.

I've been getting some vibes lately that significant parts of Trump's base are starting to turn on him. Not from the Mueller stuff, but because his act is finally starting to wear thin when it comes to his narcissism.

I have noticed a lot of the diehard Trump supporters on my Facebook have been posting less and less and less Pro-Trump propaganda memes lately. It's slowly reverted back to Hillary-Hate Lock Her Up memes.

Really? Could you elaborate?

Which parts of his narcissism? Is it the constant lying or the refusal to entertain a thought that doesn't have him in the role of deserving hero?

Is it the greed or arrogance or the petty cruelty to others?

Is it the stupidity?

Do you think people are starting to realize that he was a con man and a fraud from the day he rode down that escalator.

This is what I think it is.

Victor Laszlo @Impolitics

First Trump made money from his campaign.

Then he made money from his inauguration.

Now he's making money from his presidency.

So he must already be thinking about how he can get a quick buck out of his impeachment.

I don't have contact with a lot of devoted followers of Trump in my daily life, but even the non-political folks I know are getting tired of the tweeting and sloppy behavior.

Mrs. 50# thought Trump was going to be a disaster from the get-go, but I actually wanted to give him a chance. Former Governor Ventura actually accomplished a few substantive things (some good, some not-so-good) during his tenure as Minnesota Governor and I thought Trump would be more buttoned-down than has turned out. That's not to say that Trump hasn't accomplished anything; he certainly has. It's just that the absolute sh*t-show that is the Trump family circus is so overwhelmingly vile that it is wearing a lot of folks out.

Good thoughts weso1.

Interesting.

Loved Comey's mini presser after he left the closed door hearing with Congressional Republicans again.

Would highly recommend watching.

Mob bosses and common criminals seem dignified compared with Trump. They certainly have more respect for the rule of law.

Finally got to watch the entire meeting.

Love how Pence just sits there and wants nothing to do with Trump and basically just let's him trap himself and embarrass himself.

same as when he was bluffing when he threatened "fire and fury"
