The Trump Presidency

I think you’re talking out of your ass when it comes to transgender individuals in the military. That’s the very definition of a solution in search of a problem. The services themselves had studied the issue and recommended a solution based on the best interests of military readiness, etc., which was subsequently overruled in favor of a cheap, and harmful, culture-war “victory.”

Good because the left has owned the culture war for over a decade

Transgenders shoulf be no where near a battlefield or in the armed forcesm these are mentally unstable individuals.

Paris accord was a farse. Nobody but the US committes to it and we are still reducing our carbon footprint after the exit.

Shouldnt we have all died from net neutrality so far? I have not seen one shred of impact from.that change.

All of these items you cite are bs. Lets ignore korea/china/economy/talk of bringing troops home

1. You think people who volunteer to be cannon fodder are mentally sound in the first place? I guess you're OK with White Supremacist and Neo Nazis in the military but god forbid that someone doesn't identify as their gender. This reminds me of when Truman's Secretary of the Army argued that Black Men couldn't fight in combat because it would sow discord. You're the one on the wrong side of history here.

2. Way to believe the lies.

3. If you don't understand net neutrality and why it was great, you're a lost cause. You're a shill to the telecom machine. Get a clue do some research. Nothing major has happened yet because it's constantly being tested in courts.

https://www.techdirt.com/articles/2...grades-isps-refuse-to-deploy-themselves.shtml

I am ignoring those things because nothing is really happening there.

Korea - Pyongyang hasn't gotten rid of 1 nuke. Trump constantly tries to belittle Obama's Iran deal saying they're going to develop nukes, but DPRK has nukes. Reality is that it was a matter of time til China stopped caring enough to financially prop them up. And they're bound to end the war officially and join South Korea.

China - No clue what Trump has accomplished. Our trade deficit grows with them which is good? I dunno what you want. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/u...despite-tariffs-tough-trump-stance-2018-12-06

Economy - Economy was strong when Trump took over as president. Good job not ****ing up something that's working Trump!!! Well at least not yet.

Talk of Bringing Troops Home - I've been talking about brewing a beer for 3 months that I haven't yet. Talk is cheap.

Lol at Paris and net neutrality.

US reduced carbon emmisions more than any other major country. The countries still in the Accord have risen emmisions substantially.

Isp speeds increased more than 40% last year, taking the US from 11th to 7th in the world.

Amazingly, we've survived both of these things

I agree anyone who is willing to sign up should be able to fight as long as they can handle the physical requirements.

But on the other hand, who really cares. Trump ending wars is a much bigger deal than transgender policy

1. That's some shenanigans. Again, I don't think Paris was a deal breaker, to me it's much more concerning that Trumps naming climate deniers to the EPA than anything to do with the agreement. It's more indicative. And realize that many US States signed an unofficial agreement to cut emissions. If California cuts emissions that does a whole lot. Also what are the odds that the majority of these gains aren't from Obama era incentives?

2. **** off. ISPs increased speeds when they've been holding back. Eat a bag of dicks with that logic. It would be like saying that someone who's holding you prisoner is OK because they're no longer choking you. ALso how much of these results come from Obama era rulings that gave places the ability to fund their own Internet? Looking at the fastest ISPs, on broadband now, you have to go to 21 to find a major Telecom giant, VErizon Fios, an endeavor that is basically a sham as Verizon isn't expanding their Fiber Optic despite taking billions to build it up from the government. I wish I was shocked that you weren't pro-net neutrality, but the reality is you dont' care about anyone but Corporations and the ultra-rich.

LOL...

So after the regulations were lifted, ISPSs got faster, and you say thats because the regulations were holding them back?

Again - lol

You don't get it. We have the infrustructure right not to have Gigabit internet access. ISPs intentionally throttle our access so they can give us random carrots. And yes to the latter part. The fastest ISP in the country was stealth commmunications. It was bolstered by Obama era lifts on Telecom monopolies on who can provide internet.

Sturg, can you point me toward a government regulation that was limiting internet speeds? Particularly one that was undone by the FCC guidance?

No... mostly because I wasn't interested enough to care about that stuff.

i'm pretty comfortable with a non-regulated internet. We survived before 2013... we've so far survived since 2017. If evidence comes to light that I'm wrong, I'll re-evaluate

It amazes me in this age it has taken 30+ years for this to come out.
This guy has been high profile for quite a while
