The Trump Presidency

My history also tells me via repullsion after Burr outdueled Hamilton notions of dueling were across the board shunned.

Who are you proposing do the deed?

Oh man...i love this.

So you believe the second amendment was put into law to go and actively shoot people. Thats your final position on this topic?

It is slippery slope from insulting those you disagree with to advocting 2nd Ammendment solutions apparently
.

Unless you live under a rock you know what that means

Seems to me if violence is how you and thethe wish to advance your policy --your policies are corrupt.

You can look all of that up.

And bear in mind - those that are in position to set policy are your guys !!!
You won controll outrigh of 2/3 of government and half of the other 3rd.
To my mind the 2nd A was to curtail a tyranical branch.

I personally would give philosophical pause should the shoe be on the other foot

If McCaib is wrong enforce what laws are at your disposal otherwise, shut the **** up.

And lets be clear, if 2nd Ammendment solution is your method of enacting your pholosophy, , your philosophy has lost.

Dont get me started on the electoral methods used in NC. And god knows where else

i don't thethe understands the 2nd amendment either from his comments since his 2A tweet post

To my mind the only person who has wanted to use guns to shoot politicians was the Bernie Sanders supporter.

But guns are super important for socialist governments... since socialism isn't voluntary, you must force people in with the threat of a gun.

Which is why us citizens should keep their guns.

Number of active hate groups hits new high.

A few observations:

1) I put it in this thread, but I don't see Trump as being a primary or even large cause of this. Presidents get too much blame and credit for larger economic and social forces that produce certain outcomes that happen on their watch. But he has made his own small contribution to this and I wouldn't want to completely absolve him.

2) I'v seen theories about this being a reaction to Obama. The hypothesis is that having a classy black man and family in the White House has proven to be too much for some. Not buying this one.

3) Other theories have focused on the impact that the increasing diversity of the population (including some very successful minorities) has had on the psyches of some people who feel their privileges are being eroded. The most striking thing about this is that these feelings seem to be strongest in areas with little minority representation, not the larger cities where the minority populations have grown. It is interesting to me that even in the South race relations seem to be getting better in most larger cities. Of course, since I visit those cities just for a couple days at a time, my impressions my be off. I haven't spent much time in recent years in the rural South or Appalachia. Maybe time for a field trip.

SPLC isnt a good arbiter of who is and is not a hate group.

Schlichter can say whatever he wants, but I think there are a lot more straightforward ways to vent about McCabe without referencing the Second Amendment. He could have expounded at length (or at least to 280 characters) upon the whole deep state angle, but when you toss out the Second Amendment as a possible remedy, some are bound to interpret the statement as promoting violence against McCabe. The whole "we need to be armed in case we have to overthrow the government" is the fodder of lunatics. By that logic, the populace should be able to have an Abrams Battle Tank in the driveway and a Harrier Jump Jet in the backyard.

To another matter, the SPLC has gone around the bend. They were once a legitimate outfit, but they have become the left-wing equivalent to the commie-hunters of the 1950s.

50 you know as well as anyone the second amendment was to protect ourselves against government tyranny. Not sure there have been better examples of this tyranny than what obamas fbi did during this past election and the months following.

Anyone with half a brain knows what the post was referencing.

The problem is there are a whole lot of gun owners that don't have half a brain. And as for the 2nd Amendment protecting against tyranny, good luck with that argument. That was only loosely true when the Constitution was hatched and the idea pretty much died with the Civil War.
