It is worth noting that there are predominantly white areas of Appalachia that suffer from problems similar to Baltimore. People of good will can draw attention to these problems in a constructive way. We should be talking about these problems.

This administration has brought up the massive drug problems of white america.

Just a poor redirect that yet again focusses on race. I just dont get it from you.

I personally think we should care more about the inner city murder rates rather than the overdose problems of Appalachia.

No, but I would argue that doubling down on the policies that turned it into a **** hole isnt going to fix the problem, it will only make sure the problem never gets fixed. Baltimore might be Democrat run but the War on Drugs and the overall policing strategy that has devastated that city is entirely a Republican policy.

Yet doesnt make the single policy change that would be most effective in fighting that drug problem which is widely favored by a majority of both parties. The pill problem is the biggest drug problem we have by far and the Trump admin has made some positive steps in that regard. That said we need to be weary of how police can/will enforce drug laws on pills. For example, if your wife takes prescription medicine and accidentally loses a pill in her car and you drive it some other day and a cop stops you and searches the vehicle and finds that pill, you are now a convicted drug user. I have recently been posting about a cop recently that has been pulling people over and fishing to find out if they take any prescription medicine, then gives them a field sobriety test and arresting people just for ****s and giggles. In many of the cases he was arresting people for driving while taking medicine that actually improves their ability to drive. We always need to consider how these laws and policies are going to be used. If it can be abused, a police officer out there will abuse it.

There are two kinds of people in this world. Racists and liars. Show me the person who isnt racist and I will show you a liar. There isnt anyone who posts here who doesnt hold some kind of view that some people would considered some kind of ist, isim, or phobia. We really arent far off from the thought police being a real thing.
